EVGA X58 Micro Water block

I am just curious if anyone here is interested in water cooling their X58 EVGA Micro board. I designed a full coverage block, still in the design and prototype phase, but in very short order it will become a reality.

This is the bottom of the block. The large blue block will be touching the north bridge.

This is the inside of that block. There are 2 more blocks going to touch the Voltage Regulator and the south bridge that are not shown in the picture.

It will be over 1/2" thick made of pure copper. More pictures to follow, but keep an eye out, I will update.

Just looking for input before machining. I think I should be able to having something in hand by the end of the week.

actually we have nothing in project with the evga x58 micro because there
where no requests at this time, you are the first who ask ^^
the mosfet section seems to be the same as x58 sli le, but nb&sb are at
other positions, so our dualchip freezer from the x58 sli le will not fit :-((
for a new dualchip solution there is not enough space between nb & sb and
too many parts in the way. so we could only make a single nb block i think.

Mips has already one for the NB. Ordernumber MCH 055 / 1055 / 2055. This will fit.
SB is also one but works only with one Grafikcard because position of fittings. SB is MCH 026 / 1026 / 2026.
What i know is that SB dont get hot.

I want make full cover block for it with waterchannel for nb/sb/mosfet
but i cant buy this mobo in my country yet :|
probably need order it from US

and no, I did not get their permission to use it. I had one of the EVGA Techs asking me about the block. I think he wanted one, and I am hoping that they wont mind since it is exclusive for their board. Maybe if I send them one to test and play with?

your alowed to use trademarks for personal use, and i think that it would be fair use since its for the evga micro

your block looks nice but i would make sure to not put liquid on the SB and just some copper, if u put liquid over it it will run hotter (unless its chilled liquid)

why would the south bridge get hotter being liquid cooled?

I own the Micro and would be very interested.

its sub 10W and the water will be hotter than the chip

30 degree Celsius water is cooler than a 50 degrees celsius and rising chip?

ive had a bunch of ich9 boards and the SB never gets hot to the touch, and the ich10 is a lower power ich9 so i dont see it getting hotter

cut this sucker FREE HAND with my new bandsaw. its .1" plexi. Might have something cooler to look at tomorrow. Will keep you all updated

This is the initial rough cut of the block. This is the topside and the part you will see when looking down on the mother board.

I don't mean to discourage you, but I think if you don't have a water channel over the mosfets, it's really not worth making.

I know for my DFI boards, mosfet temps were the wall keeping me from pushing the cpu more.
