It is exceptionally fast on the synthetic tests. I don't think they use a well threaded test suite as do most reviewers. Something on that front needs to change before we can really see what these CPUs can do.
disappointing performance maybe software support is not up to it but the 2 extra cores didn't add that much..
Hope it overclocks better then the 45nm one by alot...

Power usage dropped, faster clock per clock and now supports 48gb of ram on x58.
It'd be great if they revealed the turbo-boost specs as well. Maybe they are similar to Lynnfield, which would be very good.
Woot! Roughly 8 fps increase on Crysis made me LOL, with the highest gain on the games tested?
Not something to write home, but its just surprising to me.
The games benchmarks were just right for my expectation.
No surprise really, Core i7 is already overkill for the majority of users with it's 8 threads. Must wait for software support ^^
