I am surprised that there has not been a major motion picture based on this genre. It would be huge. I have been a fan for years. I have the original Mechwarrior 2 for Playstation PS1 (not PS2 or PS3)! It has huge potential for even a tv series. It could be done like Battlestar Galactica, but make it better!!!

Back in 1999 when MW3 was coming out, the demo had amazing control. Myself and 3 buddies all played it on one guys LAN at his apartment and could not wait for the full version. It came out and we all bought it, and to our dismay, the controls were changed completely. Aiming was now an amazing chore and we were all like "WTF???" We even contacted Microprose to complain. They of course did nothing. Only if XS was this big back then, we might have been able to pull off a mutiny!!!
