I received all of the parts for my Mountain Mods Pinnacle 24. I'm planning to install a single block loop with a HK 3.0 LC, TFC360, MCR320, and my DetroitAC topped D5 along with the rest of my Rig (see sig).

how was the MM packaging? was there any protection for every panels' corners? lots have gotten them bent. what kind of packaging protection did MM use?
i still think you won't get any better temps w/ the MCR320 in place. the TFC360 w/ low speed fans will give u great temps on a single i7 block already, highly doubt it'd get better w/ an mcr320 thrown in. keep in mind you'll have double the number of fans + more tubing which add to noise and some temps.
what screws did u use exactly for mounting the 3 x 25mms into your radiator? the TFC uses M4 right?

Curious what fans you have set up on the vertical rad? Is it 2 stacked fans + 1 shroud or 1 fan + double thick shroud?
It was packed pretty well, but could have used to have more air space around the panels. The large side panels seem to have been dinged a touch on one end, likely from shipping. Everything else is top notch. It's not noisier at all, quieter actually. My goal wasn't really lower temps, but a quieter rig. The fans are all spun down to low speeds. If temps improve, better still. It seems to have worked out quite well so far. I can hear my HDD over it now though, so quieting that down might be next :-P The larger case afforded me the ability to get rid of the 3 90's that were in my last case (antec 300), and I've upgraded from a Fuzion V1 to an HK 3.0 LC.Quote:

I decided to kick off LinX, even though there are still some bubbles in the system. Max temp after 5 iterations is 75C, which it hit almost immediately and has not budged past for several minutes since. That's an 8C reduction on a loop with an incomplete bleed and slow fans, and the thermal paste hasn't even had any time to cure.

75 is still high... after all bleeding and curing is done, your temps might go down a max of... 5c?
70c for an i7 w/ dual triple rads + ~1000 rpm fans is really high... why is that?
Is that really high? It seems pretty decent for 4.2Ghz @ 1.39v w/HT. My ambient at the moment is 24C also, which is 3C higher than the 21C that I had during my reading of 83C with the old setup.

maybe just don't use linx, it doesn't seem very effective at finding CPU instabilities anyway, stick w/ occt and your temps will be more in check.
i think its you're CPU Block efficiency limited... you definitely have more than enough radiator.
Yeah, the HK 3.0 LC shouldn't be too bad though. It's supposedly still better than the EK Supreme. I've not really seen any data on it though. I'll have plenty of overhead in the loop for CFX 5870s when they come to market. This loop is taking forever to bleed. My last loop with the Fuzion V1 was flowing clear after only an hour or two. This one is still bubbly after nearly 10 hours! I recall the situation being similar with the GTZ that I had on my e8600. Maybe the CPU block has something to do with it.Quote:

It will take a lot longer to bleed with the res that far below the top rad. Once it bleeds I'd imagine your temps will improve (and it will be much quieter) as there might be some air in the rads.
75C LinX are good temps for your setting/ambient. If you run it in x64 mode with 3GB or more ram used, that is...

Temps are fine, try a remount later on if things don't go well. I had to remount many times until I got enough pressure.
Yep. I'm running x64 with 5GB of ram used. I'm playing with 4.4Ghz now. I was never able to get stability past 4.3 on my old loop. I'm testing with the uncore at x16 now. Hopefully I'll be able to get my ram clocks back up. This is with a 21C ambient this afternoon.Quote:

Thx :-) I got the bubbles bled out. It took a lot of tube pinching. I wish I still had my D5. The lack of speed control on this non-vario makes bleeding a pain. I'm no longer irritated by having a WC loop entirely in the case, since everything is easy to access. The Antec 300 with TFC360 was too cramped.Quote:

I've got a pair of EK 4890 LT blocks on the way to mate with my new Asus 4890 CF setup. I'm going to give them a shot in the existing loop. There should be a sufficient amount of rad to keep everything happy in one loop.

Surprisingly, I only see 1C difference in my CPU temps with the video cards at idle. It looks like I've got enough rad! The cores are nice and cool now. I see 41C at 980mhz on the core in Warhead with stock volts. I'm going to play with the voltage utility later. I had to remove the standoffs on the end of the block that touches the VRMs for them to make contact. VRM temps are nice and low though, climbing up to 68C in Warhead.
