Sup guys, i was just looking into performancepcs and see a link to the new fluidxp+nano fluid, and i just put my face like this :eek: 44 USD?!! for 32oz

2 block + triple rad + small rez + 11 ID tubing uses way less [if you kee tubing short]

Not that I'd pay that kind of money for a fancy bottle of what is about as efficient as water >.>

I was under the impression that "nanofluid" was something completely else?

I seem to recall that it was about energy transmission, not about corrosion inhibition...

I might have my facts mixed though...

Okey then how the hell is water suposed to exchange heat?

Since when was ethylene glycol responsible for corrosion? Having high concentration actually helps prevent it.

Hmm, that stuff is more expensive than the motherboards that I blew up... something's wrong here :hm:

Amusingly enough, FluidXP contacted me a while back asking that I try this stuff out and provide them with feedback... a few e-mails later, we got to the point where I started asking for real information about the coolant so that I could put together some useful tests. After that, they completely disappeared. Go figure :rolleyes:

i would rather buy some primochill or feser dye then that stuff !

I think they might come up with a new version that has biodegradable containers for only $20 bucks more, so that the lefties can sleep at night. lol

They already have the ECO conscious folks covered.


I used FluidXP in my first build ... the midnight blue was the most gorgeous color. Of course, it didn't look very good when it gunked up my chipset block, which then overheated my system, which then caused a crack in my reservoir, which then leaked in my case ... I think you get the idea. But, gotta say again, it was beeeuuutiful :rofl:

That would be specific heat capacity and thermal conductivity.

Until a coolant manufacturer is openly willing to post these two critical specifications and how it compares to water you can pretty much guarantee it's worse.

Marketing BS at work...science...what's that?

While nano fluid does show some promise, there's also no mention as to what the concentration of nanofluid is...it could be one drop for all they've provided.

I'd be willing to wager money your $0.89/gallon grocery store distilled water thermally performs better....that's robbery right there.

Wow...$45 bucks for antifreeze and block clogging dyes that'll make your computer cool worse, your pump flow less, and fry your computer if it leaks anyway?...Failure is expensive these days.

I think the only thing that might be remotely NANO in this stuff is the pigment used to dye it blue. We (Ice Dragon) are thinking about getting some and pitting it against our REAL nanofluid to see how it performs.

Waste of time.

It's just water+corrosion inhibitor+dye, with a lot of marketing verbal diarrhea.

If your nanofluid performs ever so slightly better than distilled+biocide (as did this one), it already performs better than this flavour of Fluid XP.

that is our stuff..that was our first iteration..our next iteration, which we hope to send out to the same testers really soon, should be even better.
