Bravo trickson  Keep after it.
Sweet, I bet you can even back down the voltage a bit on that Q9650 too!
Love that Q9650 it's a fantastic chip, in skilled hands, your the man!
very nice. Seeing quads at 4ghz is always a nice treat.
I ran my Q9650 in my max extreme board and was able to get it stable @ 4Ghz @ 1.28v, so once you get your ram tuning on target i bet you will find some good things when you start to down volt that core voltage.
great stuff!
Nice! They get snappy when you do that don't they? Congrats!
My QX9650 needs 1.368v load to be 50 loop linpack stable at 4 ghz with a TRUE, and 1.352v for 6+ hour prime, but that was a C0 stepping. Yours should requires less on average, for E0, but not all chips will perform the same; some E0's have needed 1.4v LOAD for 4 ghz with just prime and I saw 1 or 2 people who couldn't reach 4 ghz with a dual E1...
Yeah this thing is really snappy ! I am totally impressed with the speed and this mobo as well my god going from a 750i lame Nvidia chipset to this ASUS P45 is like night and day ! I am really impressed and having way more fun than I have ever had with the lame Nvidia chipset mobo's I have had in the past I am done with any chipset that is not Intel when it comes to an Intel CPU !
