Fun LN2 session at SoF's hood - R.I.P A79A-S - amazing Rampage death!

Hey folks,

well normally I wanted to show 6 gig AMD in Germany at this point but somehow things turned out a little different :( My pretested Deneb Systen 5.6 gig 1m @ 1.89V wouldn't run even close to it this time. Well but let's start positive into this session with a big :toast: :D

First we had to test CFX - running only 1/2 runs correctly somehow under air (Freakezoit from AF inspecting it -.- )

All the night benching with 3 systems in my hood. I had to warm up my AMD rig for like 4 times as it gave up totally beyond -120°C a couple of times. wasn't as fun as last time with the same components :(

The "Blow-Out" of the day with mainly "Auto" voltages", 1.52 PLL and 1.44Vfsb... Luckily it is just the board after I tested everything else on EP45T Extreme. Another dead rampage for no reason again...

@dinos that's so strange, nobody in germany has a problem with that and I've never seen that from the image hoster yet. gonna re-upload the images during the day elsewhere.

I run it one time around 5060 32m to Loop 7 but shortly afterwards the board was dead. and I just recieved another 0841 GPMW - too late for the session :( But I am going to order a new board quickly ;)

yeah and it won't do high NB clock I think. I will get a retail soon I think after selling off some Intel things ;) We had like 6 775 boards but only 1 AM2 :p:

FYI I get the same error with the pics in the OP. Nice results.

I think rampage burns because the bottom of the mobo is hot and burns the neoprene...this Fujitsu cap is always hot...

When we took the pot off, the backside was cold as hell (you can see some ice around the burned chip on the pic) - CPU temp during blow out was -90°C so I doubt a bit it was that hot. But then looking at the picture - seems like the board set some crazy voltage while on auto ^^

also you give me the idea to cool cpu with beer. it might be better then ln2 :D

My friend - pofigist - has too damaged motherbord in such a way, but it continues to work till now
