im upgrading to the GTX 285 when it comes out, anyone know the MSRP? hoping thermalright will release a cooler for it
OMG, I was going to get Core 216 55nm, but 285 looks so niiice. I hope the price looks also nice.
I'm gonna upgrade to GTX295 :)
not much of a upgrade from a gtx260-216 realy few fps 285 is just a overclocked 280 lol wait Q3-4 DX11 CARDS
Exactly. If you already have a c216GTX260 or a 280, the 285 really isnt worthy of calling it an upgrade IMHO. I was going to get the 295 as my 260 is @ evga for RMA, but they told me a 55nm GTX260 would only cost $7.00 + shipping, so im doing that, and not even thinking about the 295, as i've had the 9800GX2, 7900GX2, and were lack lust in games, and longevity and support it seemed. I dont think there dual pcb cards are really worth while.
295 looks like a VHS tape.
I have 2 260's not the 216's that will be stepped up to the 285. I was thinking about the 295 but I'll pass.
Since people have said the gtx285 is not enough of a step up for the 260 core 216, I might go up to the 55nm version in hopes of a better OC, but I think I'll skip this "generation."
I am looking right now at prices of gtx280. Evga gtx280 ison newegg. I think this would be best card in performance/price ratio?Quote:

$324.99
($304.99 after $20.00 Mail-In Rebate
I think there is a stong possibility we will see the 285 debut at 349MSRP....
Me wants GTX 285 as I don't have a VHS player ne-more^^ :D
I have a simple questions guys while we are on the subject. I know it ain't the right place but...
I haven't been around and ain't updated on new stuff but i sure am getting back to it...
Would you guys consider a good move going from 2 8800GTXs to a single GTX 295 ?
Thanks.
On a side note, this GTX295 really looks awesome IMO.
does the 55nm 260 has 216 steam processors?? wanna upgrade from 260 :p:
hmmm step-up to the 295 for $275 is tempting...only slightly more than just getting a second 260.
