Got two stock coolers from E6600 with a nice copper base.

I can confirm the pot is excellent and it should be in everyone's D.I.Y. to-do list :) Temperature handling is great due to it's rather large mass!

we have used a Swiftech MCX159CU and then mounted the core if an intel stock hsf with cu and ya it works great

That was Stelios's idea for 3870x2 pot and it's awesome for GPU/NB container.
sno.lcn made it very well but that's awesome one. You don't need to cut fins? Just make one cut and easy remove whole "fin" part? Me like it...

What about base - tube contact? Is it worth to make spires or just weld/solider it?

Just braze it together with some 1" pipe :up:

but how the heck are we supposed to find these other copper pipes and also braze and all that lol hehhehe

nice idea and you are right...lots of mass in that little container

they are very little thought...hard to judge size unless you hold one in your hand :D

What about temperature oscillations? I see it's good with holding LN2 but oscillation can make big problems.
