Seems to me like that may impact flow.... it looks nice but I think the idea of sticking a thin silver wire in your res would have much less performance impact.

imo .......... it'll be a lot attractive if there is scribbling engraved on the coils itself ... dont you think so?

I don't think this one is meant for looks/bling. It should be CHEAP and a good way to safely run pure distilled only. If you think this will impact performance, I hope you don't have any bends in your tubing.

As awesome as that may be, are you going to be staring at a silver coil in the watercooling loop in your computer, or are you going to be staring at the screen?

ROFLROFL.... i dont know if i can do that. Its ment to lock on the tubing or at the barb. But you can strech it out, its fairly maluable. <i think i butchered that spelling>

Anyhow, how many of these things would be recommended? Like one at the inlet to the res and maybe one at the inlet to the rad or something or would one be sufficient?

Would PT Nuke react with the silver in any way? Remember there is a new forumla now.

i dont think you need much at all, that one loop should be enough cuz of how silver works.
The ions stay in solution, so that ring over time gets eatten. As your coolant ages, the concentration of silver increases, and hence it gets stronger.

Get it?

Yep, I'm with 'ya. As long as that thing lasts 3 months it'll be enough for me. If it lasts longer great, but I'll be pulling my loops down every 3 months at least to make sure everything is good. It should be but I wanna keep a check on things just for that warm fuzzy feeling that everything is still shiny in there.

Aw, and to make sure I got that dang flux out. I've heard the HW Labs are a little easier to clean, but I'm new, and wanna make sure I really did get it all. I used alot of boiling distilled water and flushed it, but one can never be 100% certain. We'll see when I get it all running.

I ended up getting pretty annoyed with my PA160 and just poured condenser cleaner into it... it's super clean in there now but probably wasn't the most intelligent thing to do (the scent of the stuff that Steve gave me is reminiscent of sulfuric acid). :rolleyes:
