"SLI Processor" Glorification of an unneeded PCIe switchchip.
So pretty much the only new thing in the article is that there will be an EVGA X58 board.
That's cool though.
Coudn't resist, sorry:p:Quote:
Certain statements in this press release including, but not limited to, statements as to: the benefits, advantages, features, impact, performance and capabilities of NVIDIA GeForce GPUs and SLI Technology; and users' preferences and demands are forward-looking statements that are subject to risks and uncertainties that could cause results to be materially different than expectations.
Of course tri sli + x58 + i7 will beat the crap out of tri sli + 790i and C2Q, nothing really new there.
Its the first I've heard of the DFI X58-T3eH8.
SLI is nothing but a brand name. Its not anything special that X48 cant handle now and X58 cant handle in the future without a stupid certification. Its just Nvidias dirty little marketing scheme / cash cow. I guess since they arent selling as many video cards and their mobile chip flub is going to cost theme 100s of millions, they need to fleece the customer some how. I will NEVER go back to a Nvidia chipset after seeing how piss poor the 6XX and 7XX chipsets are compared to an Intel chipset. I own a Striker Extreme (680i) and a P5E Deluxe (X48) and the Intel board wins hands down in features and stability.
OMG that is good news for me EVGA is a very good company however Nvidia chipset are holding them back some
This is great news!
eVGA is a great company, and they always have been.
I love their warranties.. Now if only XFX would follow suit, then I'd be really happy. XFX has always been my favorite nVidia manufacturer...
I'll be crossing my fingers for XFX....
oh is great cool...EVGA X58
I can't stand EVGA.
Ever since they put their head in the sand regarding the 630i not taking ram > 6400mhz without failing to post or screwing up the onboard ethernet (many complaints of this problem on the evga forums from unique usernames, EVGA didn't respond once despite otherwise being active on their forums, and they still continued to sell the board though).
Stuff EVGA. The only good thing they ever did was the step-up program, which is useless to a fair chunk of the world.
