Koolance Compression Fitting 1/2" ID 3/4" OD

Any one know what is the size of internal hole?, is it the same as BP one or smaller.Thx

Koolance has come with some now Compression fittings. Dont know that the diffrens is form the old. Someone do?

I like my compression fittings from Koolance. If I had to say anything negative it would be the color, but that's not a biggie to me. I get plenty of flow from mine and they are 3/8" compressions.

looks like the plating is coming off, on another note ive noticed that my BP fittings oxides pretty quickly

R3 i cut open one of those compressions with a lock cutter. Its brass though the core.

Since most likely your never gonna use it, Can you cut that up for me. If they did a swap on you, OMG im gona unleash hell.
Expecially since i was the one that recomended it.

EDIT: oh its not yours, and theres no way to tell if those are the ones koolance says that are brass. Guys MAKE SURE IT SAYS BRASS, otherwise OOPS on you.

I wouldn't call it abrupt myself, that are actually nice tapered transitions compared to some other fittings like 1/2" NPT plastic barbs that have a 90 degree sharp transition in ID sizes

It looks like a fairly nice 45-60 degree taper to me on both ends which is good...the chamfer on the threaded side is also going to help with restriction. Granted it is a 9.0mm ID, it's the transitions that are more important than the ID itself when it comes to restriction. The Koolance fitting has better transitions at the barb entry and threaded end (smaller wall to impact)

I plan to do some pressure drop testing to confirm, but I wouldn't at all be surprised if the smaller ID Koolance fittings have lower restriction overall because of the better tapered ends.

LOL! It's all moot when you start considering how small of a restriction we're talking about, but it's something to have fun with.

I've got a crap load of fittings sitting here waiting for some sort of review. I'm thinking a pressure drop and holding strength type of test is a MUST!!...:D

I've also got a bunch of quick disconnects and other goodies to test...:)

the feser one looks like a copy of the bitspower one.

So do the DDs. You know there is something called OEM'ing?

the dd ones are bought from bitspower. But the feser one... It looks like a bp but put in a cast, and then cloned. It doesn't look as sharp. I'm not saying feser stole the design, but it looks suspicious...

excuse me..

I have a couple of things from koolance, which:

1. has better machining quality then EK. [I even got R3 convinced now, which is why he doesnt say a counter arguement besides EK is sexier]
2. can not be replaced even by bitspower in what they do
3. Isnt made of alu.

and yes you should drop the fanboism and give the good koolance products a chance.

Which is good? ASK US.

i read the description and it say it was made with nickle plated brass.so is it safe to use them?

if your reading that off koolance's website then yes.

They did a oops on the steel plugs, appologized publically on the forum, and offered an RMA to brass plugs free. You didnt even need to send in your old plugs.

They also said, for future references, write down brass plugs in notes, and they would work hard at making that request.

If it doesnt have plugs, then yes id say its safe. I have a few doubts on the quick connects as i think the spring inside is a form of SS. I dont think there are such things as brass springs are there?
