This was done by the folks from Coolaler (high percentage NOT cherry), with just a C1 stepping. Looks like C2 is really gonna be something.

I wouldn't exactly call the Scythe Orochi average cooling, but very good clocking nonetheless. Clocking should be good assuming it gets better with each stepping and even just with time for a stepping. Lots of money getting spent this winter break...

Assuming CPUZ is reading volts correctly, 1.6V on 45nm is rather high. I'd be curious as to what a typical 24/7 overclock at like 1.45 volts is like.

That voltage seems to high for it to be 24/7 usable.
If it only goes to 1.37 volts or so before it's unsafe like intel's 45nm cpu's overclocking could not be nearly as good as we thought.
Though 4.0 out of a 2.3 is a very impressive overclock. Normally wouldn't a faster one be able to overclock more at less volts?
Which would mean 3.0 deneb may get really good overclocks.
AMD's SOI is nowhere as sensitive to volts(at least not at 65nm) as intels HK/mg.Quote:

Screenshots are fake, Phenoms can't over clock, there are no AMD motherboards that can run 4.00 ghz chips, AMD causes malaria in puppies, i7 will overclock to 8ghz while using 0 electricities per hyperjule and motherboards that cost less than $300 are a waste of time. I second this notion. Let's keep it focused.
Not trying to throw water on the flames of excitement here but a couple of points -
1. That is a suicide CPU-Z shot, wait to see the application stable clocks at 24/7 capable operation.
2. Running that voltage on this CPU is nuts, well for 95% of the people that will be using it. ;)
3. Deneb is really really nice, just these numbers are a bit misleading right now. Not to say that clocks near this range will not be possible with the right setup, but the processor still has another revision coming before final opinions can be drawn.
