Cryo-Z Inside or Outside? Upgrades?

Hi guys,

I'm building my new system and I can't decide what to do about the Cryo-Z.

I really can't decide if I should mount it inside the case or leave it in the stock case outside.

I'm not a bencher so I don't need to carry this unit everywhere only gonna use it at home.

I took some measures and it seams quite easy to install it inside after you uninstall it:

But I really need to know about the disadvantages of having it inside like will it generate too much heat?
Will the unit be running less effectively because of that change?

What other upgrades should I do to the pc case to receive the Phase unit inside like where should I add more fans etc.

If that were me I would just have the computer sit on top.

Unless you are handy with modding stuff and taking the CRYO-Z apart and installing inside the case.

I rather like the case so I would keep it in that.

Your PC components will get to hot and I don't think it will fit. In fact - I know it won't fit.

I've seen bigger setups fit a V2000 thats a smaller case them mine.

I'm not talking about fitting the hole setup in the metal frame inside but disassemble the Cryo-Z and then mounting inside the case without those hard drives mounts etc (not that hard at all 8 bolts for the compressor and radiator and 12 screws for the control panel, lcd and power outlet).

So the heat would really be the issue?

Like Ron said, heat is going to be an issue and to me that case doesn't look as tall as a V2*** series.... from the pics it looks like it just won't fit.

The heat issue could be overcome, and you may get it to fit. Whether it's worth it is completely up to you. ;)
