Chief(tec) NL11F SS (all in big tower)

Hello

Today I want to show You worklog of sth less boring than rest of mine units :D : SS NL11F using Deluxe 0.5kW condensor, all closed in brand-new Chieftec Big Tower case :p:.

Specs :

Compressor: Danfoss NL11F
Evap: steeper 42mm diameter, braided DN10 suction flex hose
XV: captube 0.9 mm
Condensor: cold-ice custom "deluxe" 0.5kW with riffled tubes
Refrigerant : R507
Case : Chiftec Big Tower (brand new)
Others: Scythe Ultra Kaze fans, fan controller, blue temperature display, PC autostart module

5.25' panel for controller - I must use old silver 5.25' mask, becasue orginal from Chieftec was not flat :(.

Going to keep an eye on this project.

Are those power supply wires going to be long enough to reach to the computer?

If I were you I would make some kinda support beam for the psu, it looks like its bending down just a pinch.

It looks nice :) Normally people mount water cooling in this case, but I haven't seen SS inside yet :) Are you think about completely separate unit from rest of case? Compressor is getting hot, so it can heat temperature in case.

@ piotres - Very clean work so far, I cannot wait to see where it goes. :)

Not sure how much I like the owners case choice but everything you put your hands on looks great.

I don't know. To me it seems it would make a lot more sense have left the PSU mounting location stock, and shoved the phase unit at the very top. That way the PSU wires and the optical drive cables can still reach the motherboard.

PSU wires for sure will be enought long - this is not PSU which owner plan to use, but that's only old chieftec 360W, and wires are even now too long a bit .

Mounting compressor above PSU would need complicate and strong skeleton .

@bartx : this case will be having watercooling inside too :D :D :D.

I'm not sure (owner of this unit bought it) but I think it's Chieftec BA-01B-B-B .

Looks very nice, so far, I'm new to phase so I was just wondering is it possible to have the evap facing downwards onto the cpu socket. As in not going up, but coming down, because people have told me you can only have the evap going up, as in how you stack a case on top of a vapochill.

it doesn't really matter, in fact in this case it may actually make it better as any excess liquid will be held in the evaporator longer - thus cooling your cpu more instead of cooling the return line to the compressor

i think you may have started a trend peter!

the chieftec is ~ $120 here in the us, (~ 80 euro). Much cheaper then a phase change case, And a good price for a case. Looks nice, compact, and is much CHEAPER then other solutions!

Yup, i had this very idea about a year ago but it ended very soon. I couldn't get the big tower case for a normal money (sub 150€), so i called it a day ;)

I forgot to mention that this ugly hole in side wall will be cutted bigger and filled with plexi or alu mesh by owner .

Also thermostat needs tuning as it can be seen on photo .
