IFMU, you truly know everything.
but uuugh, LCD for $15 and the stuff to get it to work for $300???
thats ridiculus!!!
i have a question to you though:
- they use some sort of graphics adapter on laptops; can i get THAT to work on my desktop? or maybe even a dedicated desktop?
I honestly couldnt say. I dont know laptops all that well personally. I could see how it might be possible, but I doubt it without some serious moddin'.Quote:

Why not slap XP Pro on that beast, connect it via ethernet, and use the remote control feature?? ;)
That's how I admin my server/second rig... I honestly can't tell if I'm remote sometimes it's so responsive.
whoa,
i had that idea too, i just didn't think it was possible...
could you explain to me in detail how you did that?
No, because it's all in Windows Help :pQuote:

It's called Remote Connection (or something like that), NOT the one that allows outside people to connect via an email, but a PC Anywhere type software that's builtin to XP Pro.
I will also say that BOTH PCs have to have XP Pro for it to work.
i see,
could you at least tell me what the end result looks like?
while both computers are on, how do you switch from you main rig to your server?
