If those are real images of the board, I have to say that is quite sexy looking.
Where did you find those shots from?
When is that going to come out? It looks so good. Thanks,
Here some good pics of it http://en.hardspell.com/doc/showcont.asp?news_id=3343 the sound card that comes with it is X-FI
It`s coming out sometime in july.
yes it uses DDR3
sorry but no, it doesn't: look at the slots, that's DDR2. You can also check here if you want: http://www.overclock3d.net/news.php?...s_ii_formula/1
Ooooh yummy , if thats ddr2 then Im going to grab one .

from that web saids " Intel X48 has 32 PCIe 2.0 lanes, while P45 only has 16." does that mean it will be slower on the graphics part? so will Rampage still be a better choice?
that's what I'm wondering too. I started a thread about that, but no real answer yet:

there should be no difference as long as you run only one graphic card; crossfire is another story
Anyone know when this amaizing board will be in shop? She looks just great and those PWM's... I think if 16 phase on CPU will really do some good work then this board will be my first thing i buy!:)
The Asus P5Q3-Deluxe will support both DDR2 and DDR3 up to 1600 MHz, i think the Maximus II Formula should support DDR3 has well.
Probably those pics are not the final product.
If it does not support DDR3 that will suck big time.
This is a link on the P5Q http://www.cpu3d.com/content/view/4924/54/
The P5Q3-Deluxe will be the one that supports DDR3 so hopefully they will have a version of this with DDR3 has well.
knowing Asus the board will be out for all of 2 months before they replace it with the next supposed "top o' the line board". No more Asus for me.
What i want to kno is what the heck is under that extended SB cooler
Maybe SLI chip or more PCIE lanes!!!! :P
Otherwise the board looks awesome and might be my next....forget Nehalem for now....P45 looks great especially these crazy heatsinks
you misunderstood me, I never said it couldn't run crossfire, and if you read my other post (in the link I gave) you would know that I just said that: 2 x 8 lanes instead of 16, and I also mentioned in another thread about P45 that X48 remains the high end chip :D

So if I am looking for a board that I can crossfire later then this is not that Mobo that I should get then?
