Help with these Ti4200....

Hi all.
The Ti4200 is Creative Titanium 64Mb 8x I have tried information for the mod but I have not found nothing of this card.

I have not found not even the points where to measure the voltages :(

have you tried to measure the resistance in ohms between every pin of those 2 little chips to ground? use one of the large solder points close to the vga plug as ground.

one pin of the chips should give your around 100ohm and one pin of the other chip should give you 124ohm. if you found those pins you can do the normal vmods with 5kohm vrs to those pins and the ground points on the vga plug.

on hip6012 the vmod is pin 5 to gnd via VR. Measure the original resistance from pin 5 to GND and add a VR that is 20x the resistance.

Yepperz macci....I have the exact same ICs on my MSI 4200.

Question is, does the HIP control vgpu or vmem? I am thinking Vgpu, but not certain.

HIP6012CB for Vmem Pin 5 and (7 GND)Timmer 20k
ISL6529CB for Vgpu Pin 9 and (3 GNDTimmer 10k

What I meant by that remark is that both of our cards have the same ICs on board, which means we do the same voltage mods. It doesnt matter who made the card..whether that be Creative, MSI, or Gainward.

Howdy, y'all! I have a MSI Ti4200 myself with exactly these two voltage regulation chips and have already had the voltmods done at a LAN party. Unfortunately, my friend forgot to measure the original voltages on the voltage reading points so it's not set as-is. It has been running modded for a month now without any problems but I just wanna know what the original voltages are.

I would also like to know where the V reading points are, so I can measure the present voltages, because I was a bit overexcited and totally forgot to note the moded voltages at the LAN party. :rolleyes:

I dont recall what the stock voltages are on the Ti4200 cards....as they change depending on the maker.

I would think Vgpu is around the 1.6-1.7v mark, and Vddr is around 2.7v or maybe bit higher.

Not sure, but post your voltage readings you are getting now. If your friend used the standard VRs when doing the mod, then the voltage, without adjusting the VRs, should be pretty close to stock.

Will post the voltages as soon as I get my hands on a multimeter.
I wish I had a digicam so I could show you the mod. It's real pretty, no wires, only two trimmers attached to the PCB with thermal glue.
