Moving the MFT
I'm currently trying to resize my boot partition. I'm using Vista Business and at the end of the partition, is part of the MFT. Now Vista's disk management won't let me shrink the partition anymore.
Does anyone know of any programs that can move that file? I've tried PerfectDisk 2008 and it won't move the file.

I don't know of any program that will actually move the MFT, but you could try to use GParted http://gparted.sourceforge.net/ to resize your disk.
You could also try using the diskpart program in vista http://vistarewired.com/2007/04/07/h...nt-doesnt-work

You may have to fully reformat the drive in order to get a smaller partition for Vista. Are you trying to make room for another OS so you can dual boot? If so what OS? If its XP then you'll be better off reformatting the drive, installing XP then reinstalling Vista.

@ToySoldier:
Thanks, I saw gparted before but wasn't going to use it. I guess I'll try it though.
@mpilchfamily:
Nah, I'm not trying to install XP. I just don't think Vista will need 150GB of space.
