Q6600 Go SLACR Dissapointing at 3.2ghz... can I get more?

Need some help if there is any...

I'm running my Q6600 at 1.5235v in the BIOS on a P5N-D Sli (with ASUS Silent Knight Aluminum Cooler) but in windows it's 1.488v with vdroop to 1.440 - 1.456... my idle temps are around 39-44 especially in this heat we're having in the UK and under prime it's around 67-71...

Running 1600FSB (400x8) with the 8GB PC6400 ram at 1:1

Now I've tried to get more out of this chip like this original poster, but I'm struggling. The VID is 1.325v using coretemp, which is the highest Go SLACR BID I've seen and is annoying, however, what could I increase "safely" in the voltage?

Also currently got:

HT = 1.46v
NB = 1.48v
SB = 1.56v

in the BIOS...

Now, what do people think if anything can be done to get this to 3.4mhz and be 100% stable? Do I need more volts and if so, will this get dangerous? What's the safe maximum on idle temps and load temps really?

Very very poor performance of the western digital, I'd have thought the Maxtor would've been the weakest, quite surprising that!

#1 thing w/ a Q6600 is the best cooling you can get. Go with water if you can. If $$ is a problem then do everything you can to maximize the cooling efficiency of your current setup. Aluminum is a pretty crappy conductor of heat when compared with copper. Copper is roughly twice as conductive, so imagine your cooler at half it's current size in copper and how effective do you really think it is. Get your temps down, that's where I'd start. Everything else will come.

I personally like to stay under 65c at max. That's with an extreme clock on water and peak max temps. Meaning, the highest temp I see during stress testing. Usually, under heavy load I like to see under 60. Now with the q6600, you'll find it produces alot of heat so you need good cooling.

I'll trade ya my extra E8400 for that Q66 ya got there :)

Btw, temps are high volts to for the clocks. Idk that mobo, think the nb can have some more juice though.

good luck, did you up the V FSB termination? FWIW I was recently able to get to 9x by dropping my voltages of all things! What I noticed is watch idle temperature at current settings and ramp CPUvoltage. when I found a point where idle temperature suddenly rises more than the slow increments you see for lower voltages then that's the point where my voltage was too high and I backed down. Still not sure why but it worked for me.
