Hmm..
Pro mount as stock.
More space between fittings - looks weird thou
and the top is more round..
Looks like good improvements for almost same price - but not for the temperature..
strange, no news or official announcement on their site
what's with "GONG" the friggin "GONG" mu "GONG" sic?
interesting tho...
Awesome stuff.
I nearly bought one two weeks ago.
Yeah, when I had email conversation with Aaron Lord @ Petras he mentioned that it was possible that next restocking would be the V2. But as it seems they got the V1, means that I will get it as well.
looks slick!
Hmmm looks like you have to take the mobo out everything you unmount and remount the block. I fail to see how the back plate will stay in place while you try to screw it on while the mobo is vertical inside the case.
Double sided tape will still peel away...
I've had to take screwdrivers to some backplates as they were stuck on so well they would not budge. This was the case with my old Scythe Ninja Backplate.
are there any performance benefits on this? id love to see some tests on it!:D
yep, looks exactly like the mounting kit for a TRUE. with the TRUE you have to press very hard on the screw and turn your screwdriver at the same time. to install vertical you have to have alteast 1 of the screws screwed in so the backplate doesn't fall but it's still much more difficult (for me anyway)
I take it has the same guts in a new package
still 2x 1/2" ID bitspower will not fit :(
Looks slick!
The site says "Optional Quadcore Block Insert".. I guess this means they'll give you the possibility for bowing then. Nice! No trying around with different O-Ring sizes.. :)
Edit: Hmh, it's not for bowing it's a complete quad midplate with nozzle. Like everyone already noticed. Just ignore my stupid comment then. Still I want to know if this performs better than the old one..
As for the mount, you can use the pro mount with studs, I do. Just flip it upside down, reattach it to the block and use your studs... The V2 is very nice, had mine for a while now.
And? Compared to the original?
Im not sure this was supposed to be released today ?
I wont be suprised to see this thread vanish ....
Also performance figures are better - but i guess the shop posting this is just going for "OMG WE HAVE THESE IN STOCK" rather than informing the community whats new and improved about it.
My 2cents anyway
this really came out of nowhere..
The would you like to inform us Tom? :D
guess the cat's already out of the bag..
