I have one of the first released e8400's.
The batch code is Q740A473T.
I've never seen a batch code that has a "T" at the end of it, does any one know if there is any significance to this?

they seem to clock well...mine died tho, not sure why, but it seems the motherboard did it. Saaya has one too..it clocks good as well.
I too have the QX9650 with the T at the ending of the batch.Anyone knows what does this mean?
From the few reading encounters, the T batch is very special. They OC the best. You are special, you have a special chip. Where did you buy it?
I got it on ebay. The guy "said" that it hit 4.4 @ 1.37 Volts, but I'm taking that with a grain of salt.
I've yet to put the system together and it's going to have to wait a couple of more weeks while I move to my new place.
Any updates on your 9650 with a "T" on it?
Both of my "T" chips are excessively hot...30c idle @ 1.2v, load @ 50-55c, under DTeK Fusion.
L739A745T QX9650 here for my second "T". does 4ghz @ 1.275...
E8500 Q740A479T 4.4 @ 1.425V on P5K Premium.
Haven't had time to tweak it back up that high after switching to DFI X38.
