Yes it's true showing also at finnish online shop :P 215 euros in stock about 2-4 weeks
Oh this is gonna be fun...Thier B3's at that..
http://www.overclock.co.uk/dept/AMD-Phenom_276.html
are they actually in stock though? were they actually officially released? if so im placing an order now... lol
:yepp:
wow there out of stock already...
AMD is back in Black
does anyone have any idea how far the 9850 can clock? i thought maybe it would clock a little better since its a new chip and also a black edition... if this thing can reach 3.0ghz i will be happy. heh
Me too, I'll finally be able to laugh at all of my E6400 friends who have crappy mobos or n00b OC skills.
Whats the clock? 2.5Ghz?
Probably, it makes sense... I don't think it will clock very well though, if it could clock to 3Ghz, then we would be seeing higher models out right now.
By pricing it higher than the Q6600 G0's either AMD is insane, because these won't hit anything of the same price/perf ratio when the intel is clocked. Or they simply are pricing for OEM's and placing it between the Q6600 and Q6700. Probably the latter but it doesn't help us on XS.
I think prices will drop if some volume is available..
Heres to hoping Phenom FX parts show soon... and dual socket 790FX boards. :D
lol
AMD couldn't get the 9600 black edition for weeks after its launch and then here goes an etailer presaling one of their products not launched yet. $50 says that 2-4 weeks is actually 2-4 months
As upsetting as that is to hear I think I'll agree with you.
eh me thinks not the case this time maybe 2-3 weeks most like last one:)
Brother What gives you so much optimism about the weeks? :D
The HD985ZXAGHBOX is 2.5, with the 9750 at 2.4. Fairly encouraging to see these appearing on vendor sites - hopefully available soon.Quote:

If AMD gets the 9850 & 9750 out at the same time as the B3 9550 & 9650 refresh, then it probably means that B3 is clocking better than B2. I don't think AMD could have released a 2.5GHz B2 CPU when many of the B2 Phenoms could barely OC to that speed.
I'm hoping for some good prices on these Phenom CPUs. VR-Zone reported a price cut for AMD CPUs on April 7th, so hopefully that means even cheaper Phenoms than current, with the 9500 costing $189. With the Q6600 moving to $225 in April as well, AMD will be forced to sell all their Phenoms at or below that price point... the 9850 won't be as fast and even the 9950 will still be slower in some apps.
again, encouragingQuote:
Newegg and TigerDirect will carry the new Opterons in frequencies ranging from 1.8 GHz to 2.4 GHz. Vendor estimates put this e-tailer ship date in early April. AMD roadmaps also indicate the Phenom and Opteron lines will reach 2.6 GHz before this Fall on the new B3 stepping.
Oh, and also triple-cores on the way, also within 2-4 weeks.
8450 - 130 eur
8650 - 145 eur
8750 - 163 eur
For comparison, prices for Intels in the same store:
Q6600 - 230 eur
Q9300 - 267 eur
