How much is vdrop (dual and quad)?

This board cannot run G.Skill F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ PC8000 2x2GB kit stable at 1000MHz with all memory slots populated, i.e. with 8GB. Tested with 3 different boards and 8 kits in total.
Vdrop is ~0.04 and vdroop is ~0.03 with Quads around 1.4V-1.5V.
Latest BIOS 0701 is broken, it does not change memory voltage at all.
Overall, I would be happy with the board if it could run my memory stable at 1000MHz. But this is not necessary MB's fault, the same happens with GA-P35-DS3P.

on the caught my eye was how similar the NB cooling looks to the gigabyte-ga-p35-ds3r

The radiator on P5K-Pro NB is very efficient. Not only it is large, but, most importantly, is has very thick base. It is much more efficient than many heatpipe solutions. Big plus here.

I agree to the 24 pins power connector misplaced. The ATX power cable will cross the board.
But, compared to the P5K Premium, they corrected the SATA connectors placement (no more conflict with a 8800 GTS 512), the analog audio CD input connector will no longer conflict with a 8800 GTS 512 too.
Removing the heatpipe system is a good thing. If you want to replace stock heatsinks you won't loose all of them by removing the NB only.
The PWM are 8 phase all with a heatsink looks like newer than the premium and it includes the new EPU feature we see on high end X38 models.
It looses one LAN connector, WiFi and eSATA and the PS-2 connector is back now.
500 FSB on a quadcore at 1.3v on FSB an 1.7v on NB is impressive on stock heatsinks. Should I regret my 2 weeks old Premium :confused:
