Do we have one?
not really and yes at the same time. we answer questions as they are asked. the reason there is no written guide is because it all depends on what your wanting to spend. I had thought about making one but have not had much time.
that is one of the main reason I never did make a guide. :(
Specify your system:
Estimate the power output of each device to be TEC'd then get TECs allowing for 10-20% for thermal leakage to the PCB & surroundings.
Specify cooling system radiator/pump/blocks/heatsinks ensuring that they can dissipate Pmax + Pcpu.
Determine power consumption of the system and TECs and specify TEC auxiliary PSU.
Build System
Install auxiliary PSU
Insulate are around TEC'd components with neoprene.
Install TECs onto blocks/heatsinks ensuring adequate pressure, use AS Ceramique (Alumina) or similar on the cold side.
Wire up TECs and test that the cold side gets cold if not increase pressure.
Install TEC'd block/heatsink.
Wire up auxiliary PSU to relay so it comes on with the PC.
Optional Extras
Some people recommend installing a delayed shut down on the heatsink fan or pump & fans to dissipate heat on TEC shutdown.
For extreme overclocks it can be useful to have a delayed start on the system to get the components down to temperature before booting.
