[PROJECT] "The Toaster"

Hi all! The new Mountain Mods H2g0 (dubbed "The Toaster") has finally arrived, and this is going to be the worklog for the build.

* DFI "Blood Iron" P35-T2RL
* 2GB G.Skill 800MHz
* BFG GeForce 8600GT

* D-Tek Fuzion

* Swiftech MCP-355 with Petra's DDC-01s Top
* Swiftech Micro-Res


Mountain Mods Order:

* H2G0 case, Black Wrinkle finish

* 25 M3 case screws

So far, I am extremely impressed with this case. There is only one issue that I must mention: the 5.25" bays. I have no idea how to mount them. It's a complete mystery to me. I've emailed MM about it, and I'm still awaiting their reply.

Love the case... other MM cases seem too big. Seems like theres plenty of room in there to still get a good water cooling setup internally.

Ohh cool .. I love this case! Just beautiful for taking to a LAN or something. Small, but able to pack a massive punch in the face =D

Loving this case dude. Get a DFI P35 LP in there and you have a Real toaster however :p

reminds me of the dangerden waterbox, except made of metal lol

Reservoir placement and partial tubing mock up; that's a really tight bend right there, maybe I should get some of that SmartCoil stuff?

if you don't plan on bending it anymore and it doesn't look like it's kinking, smart coils shouldn't be needed, unless you like the look of em

Looks like Smartcoils will be necessary for that bend, the tubing is getting close to kinking, you'd probably be fine without, but for the minimal cost of some smartcoils I'd prefer the peace of mind.

Nice case, looking forward to updates.

Might be needed... Look in the middle picture. Right when the tubing passes through the acrylic hole, it looks like its starting to kink.

hey man, when you order those smart coils, do yourself a favor and get a wire sleeving kit as well. They are 8$ in a bunch of colors at petras or p-pcs, and come with plenty of sleeve.

I'd do something about it, even though it isn't kinked yet it is pretty close and it may kink later. I found that out in my loop, tubing going to my rad has tight bends but wasn't quite kinked but after awhile it slowly started to collapse and kink. At least I had it easy where that was, couldn't see it so I just wrapped zipties around the tubing :D

cheers mate, Little more expensive then i first thought they would be, but still they are awesome.... Definitely consider it for my next build, i can already see this as a home media type. Sitting in the lounge hooked up to a 50"... anyway, day dreaming for another time, you have done a really sweet job on it :up: ;)
