8GB 1100+MHZ DDR2 Vista 64bit DONE!

You seem to want 8GB, well how does this look?

More to come as i tighten things up also ;) Raja was telling me prime has an issue with Vista 64 so i ran the inbuilt stability test in Everest...boy does it hammer the system :) This looks 100% stable

About the max here I could squeeze out of the dimms here, 1 fsb more has 2 errors per pass in memtest86+

Timings are really quite tight, bios was the modified 1107 posted in the support section of the DFI forum.

Alex, i ran what was needed, 8 hrs testing had me stable. Also you need to think about what you just blurt out in public, manufacturers want to work with reviewers and not have them airing dirty laundry.

The IC's could be any of 3 types, one being PSC, the other 2 you will never know off me.

2.2V vdimm, NB was 1.5V but that was just a set and go without much actual testing...so i have a feeling I will be lower on the NB after a few more hours in the workshop testing.

You should see my watercooling setup. I could probably remove 4KW of heat over 20 waterblocks with this;)

Tony, could you please post a photo of 4 RPR-X fitted into MB ? I could not imagine if they would fit due to their HP, as it's a little bit diff from classical straight one rpr.

I wasn't trying to be a jerk, so I'm sorry if it came off that way Tony. I have no idea what IC's are under those heat spreaders, I was merely making a guess, which I didn't think would hurt anyone. I figured you knew me better than to think I would ever try to damage you or any manufacturer.

I actually don't have 4x Reaper X, i have 1 kit 6400 Reaper x EB and 1x Kit 6400 SLI 5-4-4-15 but they have the same IC's ;)

The reaper X kit is slightly better in that it will do cas4 on the DFI LP35 where the SLI kit will not...saying that both do 1120+ at their top end with the same timings.

Regards will 4 of them fit i will put 2 together and take some pics...this should give us some idea at least.

Onto some extra info...im now testing with a quad and finding the quad has a huge effect on the stability of the NB with 8GB, im close to having 8GB stable in vista at 1070ish but it is proving a hard slog....I may have to lower to around 1000 to give everyone an easy life;)

just goes to show the limitations of hanging 4 cores and the MCH off the same FSB...im dead sure if we had on die MCH i would be having a much easier time getting 1066 stable.

UPDATE

4x Reaper X in many cases will NOT fit, the spreaders at this time are just tooooo BIG LOL...don't worry though we are considering some mods or a change of spreaders for those who like 8GB goodness ;)
