Thank God. I only get texture corruption in XP tho...
yess! results please! bench or no bench - fps increase is needed! hail 38*0! amdati must do something!
Sure. Gotta take my kids to school, then I'll install and see what happens.
Just tested the patch on HD 2900/WinXP/Cats 7.10/Crysis Demo.
Texture issue fixed :)
But the whole patch is huge and the installation is absolutely like Cats package instal
says xp32 in the install. is this just for 32-bit? sorry im not at home to test or i wouldn't have asked.
edit:

# Windows Vista 64-bit Edition
# Windows XP Professional
# Windows XP Home Edition
# Windows XP Media Center Edition
# Windows XP Professional x64 Edition
never mind im a noob.
I'm curious on performance improvement, anybody benched?
It's kinda funny that both ATi and nVIDIA have released their new "Crysis" drivers at the same time, both of them giving performance boost and proper dual-card support.
I am eager to see some benches about the ATi cards as well. Is this so called "improved performance" a true fact?
nice find!

Hotfix GPU benchmark
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...710_hotfix.jpg
1st set of looped CPU benchmarks are Cat 7.10
2nd set of looped CPU benchmarks are hotfix
Observation:
I am not sure if this benchmark is reliable or not. The speed of the benchmark doesn't match frame rate at times. I will provide a pic as an example.
Edit:

As you can see, by using the r_DisplayInfo = 1 command you can see to the right what appears to be the actual FPS. However the information to the left is what is recorded in the benchmark score. As I've stated before, the benchmark would fly through the loop but IMO wasn't matching the actual frame rate being recorded. So by enabling r_DisplayInfo = 1 you can clearly see what I am talking about. What does this mean for the actual performance score? It may mean nothing knowing this...
graphics settings used???
I ran into the same issue investigating this this morning. I wondered why it showed low fps, but the actual rendering was not choppy or anything like you'd expect whne framrate dips below refreshrate(I'm using a Dell FP3007-HC).
I tried FRAPS, saw a minimal improvement in performance...1FPS only, actually, with the hotfix.
Anyway, I started playing to see if some of the rendering issues I had seen with 7.10 were gone...got kinda lost in the game...then had to step out...so I apologize for the late response.
If you guys would like more screens, LMK, and I'll toss some up. I just got home again, so I'll try to capture some comparos...
looks like this may work for more than 3800 & 2000?
curently forcing crossfire to enable creates artifacts and docent do much for performance
downloading now anyway so we shall see if it helps
