if you havent bought one yet, i think they have compared the 8800gt to be 15% faster...
Yeah, But the 3870 is $90 less.
The 8800GT does have more advantages then it's gaming capabilities however.

they should be backwards compatible to the other blocks for radeons. if they fit the 1900/2900 they should be fine for the 3870.(gpu only, full cover is always a crapshoot with new cards).
Yeah, but the the 3870 has independent RAM and GPU heatsinks, so you only need a GPU WB, not a full cover.

I'm sick about 8800GT's shortage, and especially in my country, 8800GT is overpriced due to the shortage supply. For the benchmark scoring, 8800GT is the crown leader, but I'm not living just for benchmarking :DQuote:

A+ for ATI atleast making the RAM heatsink separate from the GPU. Good idea and saves WC'ers some money.

A Maze 4 should fit. If it fits a X1900 card, it should fit the 3870. Apparently the card is backwards compatible with coolers.
I love the independent ramsinks... Should be standard on all cards.
The 3870 is a better option for me, using a P35 board, if they do better work with their drivers for a Crossfire setup. If we read some good news on next reviews I'll get 2 3870 by Christmas and will do some Xfire tests here.
MCW-60 should work just fine.
I second the A+ to ATI for using seperate ramsinks. Saves me at least 30 bucks. Add that to the $90 price difference for the 8800GT, yeah....
And, even though it does have a performance deficit, I wonder how high it can clock on water... :slobber:

Hello, all. It's me again and still have no decision about what the best performer waterblock for HD3870 :D
I really want to know how good Dtek Fuzion GFX compare to Swiftech MCW60 on 3870 and it's really give the light for me to make buying decions. Yes, Iam watercooling vga in separate loop from cpu. I'm thinking D-Tek DB-1 DC pump for vga loop, is that enough power? I know MCP655 is really good, but - imo - a little overkill for just vga loop.
If the GPU is on its own loop, I'd go for the MCW60 since it's a lot less restrictive than the Fuzion block and offers comparable performance. As for a pump, a DDC 3.2, D5 Vario, or the D-Tek pump you mentioned would be fine.
