really strange temp jump PE5 ???

I am experiencing a really strange temp jump on my board and was wondering if anyone else is having this problem or is there something I have missed or if there is a fix for it?


At present I am using bios 0401, but I have seen the problem also on 0203 & 0303.

Basicall what is happening I will be idling with a temp of about 35c or a small work load of 39c and then out of the blue my temp cpu temp reading will jump up by 30c (79c) also my mb temp will jump to 191c. The strange thing is this is a lie my cpu temp and my mb temp are correct it is just the reading what changes.

So basically when it does jump like this my cpu reads 79c and mb 191c, but even though the monitoring software is showing this the actual temps are cpu 39c and mb 33c.

A reboot fixes the problem and when I dive in the bios after reboot temps are normal.

I thought it might be my WC with aire bubbles but redone this and checked it, also resat my CPU but every now and again it just happens, 1 min I look at cpu temp it is 37c then in a blink of an eye it is 77c with my mb temp rising to 191c

This does not happen all the time I can go 36 hours and nothing then bam it has jumped again.

Also my core temps say the same all the time about 43c even when my cpy is reading 77c.

I have even run prime when I got this jump on temp reading and that rins fine but with just a 30c temp ofset.

Was wondering if anyone else has seem this behaviour or has an idea what is causing it?
