that's lazy, it even says Lanparty on the PCB.
yup guys its built by DFI for Sapphire, exact same board just different colors to some components.
Early whispers are that this board is a monster overclocker ;)
:/ Kinda dissapointing that its an exact copy of DFIs.
Could this mean that Sapphire doesnt have much faith in boards they themselves develop?
It could be simply a move to save development costs. Sapphire is a fairly small outfit....
So I take it heat isnt much of an issue with this board?
DFI OEM for Sapphire
We have a choice for colours :D
Sapphire should make White or red boards :yepp:
Christ, thats a huge picture.
Huh, the DRAM slots are realy close to the CPU. It is not a problem with wc, but with air coolers:rolleyes:
what the  so we might pay less for the Sapphire (as it's the "lower" brand), but get the same mainboard? count me in xD
what do you think? will the BIOS be made by Sapphire?
Not 100% shure ofc but asfar as i know this DFi design aint the reference design.
To start of with the DFI (and now also the Sapphire) are the only ones using digital PWMs, If the reference design had them i bet more partners would use em.
And i doubt that DFI would use the reference design for their Lanparty boards cause the reference design is what the smaller board makers use and DFI always wants to offer more then that.
Asfar as i know this is the reference design:

the green white black board that first popped up.
I guess Sapphire wanted to save money and DFi was willing to sell the design to Sapphire cause they got something better coming?
but weren't Sapphire's mainboards reference back to the days ATI didn't belong to AMD?
So if the Sapphire and DFI boards are the same but with different colors, could we flash the bios of the cheaper sapphire to a DFI bios? :)
itll probably be identical bios wise.
if you look at the pics of the board in the pc form this article http://www.theinquirer.net/gb/inquir...-phenom-system
i think thats the saphire board meaing the bios screens form that article are what the dfi bios should look like. they claim its a reference board... does that mean dfi is selling us a reference board?
