hate to tell you this, but since thats a unusually high OC, and was done with a known bug, then most people are just gonna think this is just a bugged run.
wanna get better results? try this on a P35. no known cas 3 bug there.

why? in the first screen I used mem set but in the 672 cl3 I set cas3 from bios...my next mobbo will be the p5k premium or blitz formula :cool: and I'll try on a p35
last week we try the geil on a p5k deluxe whithout mod, 2,5 v 640 mhz cas 4...

CAS3 DDR2-1344 is nearly impossible or unbelievable if you'd ask me and others. [ at least with current DDR2 ICs ]
And 3.1V wouldn't be enough even if the modules were capable of reaching that frequency at CAS 3.
The only way to prove this and make sure that it's not the bug, is to use a P35 or X38 motherboard, and have it validated with CPUz again.

The 4-4-4 @ 660MHz *might* be possible with luck, cooling, voltage and exceptional ICs, but the CAS3 stuff gets :down: in my book, sorry.

It's really hard to believe, sorry. I guess it's just a bug of the mobo.

exact 660 is possible, but only C4 ;)

ok...if it's a bug of the mobbo and I were ONLY @ CL 4... 672 mhz cas 4 whit 2 stick... motherboard fulmodded and mch @ 2 v... it's the wr whit cas 4...

I benched at 640 3-4-4-4 on P35 DS3R Combo and screened at more than 750 CAS4 with 1x1Go Crucial PC8500 ;)

You are at CAS 5.
Most boards bug on CAS 3. Try 680i or 975x.

I've just try them on a p5kc, but whitout vdimm mod, 600 mhz cas 4-4-4-4 easy whit 2,5 v, now I and qballe, were thinking to place them under dry ice on a dfi P35...

What is the REAL CL3 WR frequency (single , dual channel)?? Somebody know that?

Those results are far better than any I've seen before, I've seen 500mhz c3 done before, but only on suicide runs, and I think the wr is 540mhz (at least it was before p35, that may have changed) but that was done with some insane voltage. Plus the super pi times would be better, though taking the low cpu speed into consideration (2600mhz), I suppose that **could** be possible, but I highly doubt it
If you do get the same results on a p35 board though, we're talking some insane chips here

I've just done a new test... 672 mhz cas 4-4-4-4 and 3-4-4-4... i gain about 0,4 sec betwen cas 4 and cas 3... after 2 pi the system frozen down... (thanks AliG)
and just 10 minute ago I tryed to boot over 680 mhz...but I need more vram...windows frozen,,,

I believe it's 546MHz @ 3-3-3-8 performed by Yoxxy with a single 1GB stick of Corsair Dominator PC2-8888C4DF on an Asus P5N32-E SLI 680i board with a Vdimm of 3.29V, but I'm not 100% sure.

DDR2 memory at 672MHz with a CAS latency of 3 would have a total latency of 4.46 ns. As far as I know, that's impossible.

You would need a much larger voltage to actually acheive those frequencies at cas3. The only boards I know of to allow such extreme voltages are 680i. As my board and anyone i talk to tends to overvolt ram allowing over 3.6v.
Also i doubt your NB would be happy, what voltage was that at? Your mem controller probably wouldnt be capable of those speeds with 2gb dual channel. Also you dont think that whirring at 670mghz with such frequent access times wouldnt leave your sticks glowing red lol. Try the ram on a 680i or similar board known to run CAS3 properly.
0.4 seconds is DEFINITELY not the difference between cas 3-4 or 4-5. The error margin is about 1 second I have found for running multiply runs of spi in a row, sometimes it gets faster, because of no hdd delay, sometimes slower because it just does.

3520MHz on CPU and 19s Spi time is practically deserving of capital punishment not to mention at what MHz and latencies your RAM is at :D

Come to think of it... You would need like 400mghz cas6 ram to score so poorly on SPI with CPU at 3.5ghz lol... The question is, how did you do that?? lolol
