DDR3 is VERY strong > Corsair 4GB DDR3 + E6700 + Gigabyte P35T-DQ6 superpi & 3D tests
TEST SETUP
- Gigabyte GA-P35T-DQ6 (DDR3 only) Motherboard >> updated to latest F3 bios
- 4GB kit Corsair 1600MHz 7-7-7-20 DDR3 RAM
- Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 L626Bxxx CPU
- PCI nvidia MX400 GFX card
- Nvidia 8800GTS 320MB PCIe GFX card
- Corsair Nautilus 500 Watercooler
- 80GB SADA MAxtor HDD
- 620W Corsair HX620 PSU
- Windows XP Pro 32-bit
Keep in mind that these superpi results were obtained with 333 strap , no transaction booster control , Performance Level = 8, 2T Command Rate, and not fully tweaked yet >>> and it was still mighty fast  close to efficiency of DDR2 600MHz 4-4-4-x
^^^^ incidentally these are the suggestion aside from a couple of others i've asked Gigabyte engineers to implement in a bios
