Basically it's saying It will be laggy, that the office comps they use to try out crysis atm are Dell XPS's wif Q6600, 8800gtx 2GB Ram, and res of 1280x960 and that it still lags even under DX9
also the game wont turn on AA and AF if u try to so you have to do it manually in the driver panel thing :)
edit. typo
Gotta be an inside job from Microsoft to get people to go out and buy Vista for DX10.
dx10 is a year old now so why do u guys fear it dx9 took a year 9.0c abundant and there is no reason to use sm3 when u can use sm4 since its faster and has quality diffrence unlike form sm2 to sm3
When I played it it was running fine at 1920x1200 og GTX/Ultra SLI with everything max
How many times are people going to report Crysis problems? The developers have stated it will run fine with an 8800GTX. No issues.
it said it was chunky in some scenes - big deal - its not released yet - they can smooth it over...
as if they would make a game that would require 88SLI to run smooth - they want sales, thus they will pander to the majority of the gamers - & the majority of gamers *dont* have 88SLI :stick: - theyd be shooting themselves in the foot if they released a game like that... sheeesh, come on guys, common sense! ;)
What I find very odd is the continued trend of several 8800 GTX, 8800 Ultra or GTX SLI @ 1280x1024 or 1280x960 (IE low end resolutions) videos being used/shown to demonstrate this game's capabilities. Sure, maybe things will change when the demo comes out. But you have to agree that it does draw concern from the masses.
8800GTX and at least E6600. Its been said before.
dude, it will run on a 9800pro, just real-ax
give it a rest
it would b *very* big concern if the hw requirements r that high - i already have the game on pre-order & hope to run it with a FX-60, 4GB RAM & whatever bfb dx10 gpu is avail @ launch....
i guess 'requirements' can also depend on ones settings pref... i dont want *that* much (imho), just wanna run @ 1280x960, no AA, max AF & max in game settings...
its business sense - sure there r plenty ppl on XS who will have that type of h/w, but we're just a small drop in the pond! They wanna make money so they r gonna target the majority... wasnt it steam that ran that h/w survey & found out there is hardly anyone (1-3%) running SLI ?
I remember them saying that X1900 would be able to max out the game with 12x10 and DX9, at some E3 event.
People, come on, jesus. This has been discussed a thousand times. How about not listening to some people ramble about what they think it will run smoothly on and do some dang research, watch some interview vids, read on "REAL" comments from the developers. They are polishing the game, just because its laggy in some areas for brief seconds doesnt mean isnt gonna have this huge H/w requirement. Incase you havent noticed, its still being worked on and hasnt been released yet.
Cevat Yerli has said, many, many, many times that they are optimizing the game to run smoothly on even a single core setup and cards as old as a 6 series nvidia. There are going to be many, many graphics options to tweak for your system and a hardware detection for automatic setup. Most all the demo videos have been running on a e6600, 2 gigs of ram, and "ONE!" 8800GTX on a 22" and 24" monitor at native res's. Watch the vids, looks pretty dang good to me. Even in the videos there some hickups, you can tell the game isnt finished, frames seem high in the gameplay videos, but every now and then the game hickups, meaning some optimizing is still in the works, right now they are tweaking the game every day.
For the love of god stop listening to rumors and random people saying what they think it will run on and watch and read actual interviews with Cevat Yerli and the development team.
heres a vid, watch this and calm down, http://www.incrysis.com/index.php?op...sk=view&id=446
In this video he even says a sequel is already on the list, seeing how the game goes after release.
He also says something about the CryEngine2 and I quote "We have something secretly brewing in the background" --hmm, wonder what that is.
:ROTF:
lol im pretty sure my 88gtx and q6600 will have a hard enough time keeping up at 1280x1024, and i think i could use another 2 gigs of ram :p: but you never know, i might just be pessimistic, but i highly doubt that when they are showcasing the game at large events running at that res with 88gtx/ultra sli configs so they either better streamline the game so it runs a lot better on the millions of :banana::banana::banana:ty computers out there or people are going to have to fork over some serious $ to update everything to get it up to standards and even then sales will drop due to not so many willing to just drop that kind of $ in a heartbeat like one of us would
As others have said, it is doubtful. Sure, if they don't want to make enough money on it to outweigh the development costs, yeah, they will make it a requirement to have a q6600 and 8800GTX SLI. But, if they want to, as they have said themselves "appeal to the mass gaming community", they will make it run smooth on singlecore/old GPU's.
I'm not going to worry. I'm only getting a dualcore/DX10 GPU so I can run it with all the eye-candy turned on @1280x1024 *at least*.
or u can get screwed becouse every1 is jumping to sm3 and u still have an x800 even though its faster than the 7800/7900 in the lower models its bs sm3 dosnt do anything
its like useing j# insted of java its stupid
