DFI P965-S - Vmod needed
Hello all,
First of all I excuse myself for my English who is very very bad, I will try to express me clearly.
I would like to practise Vmod on my DFI P965-S, indeed, this chart is like all the others, it suffers from Vdrop, to a lesser extent that certain P5B but there is roughly 0.04V difference between the voltage in full and idle.
I would like to remove this Vdrop if that is possible to lower Vcore in idle slightly.
Certain people already said me that is not necessary, but the forum was not a forum in which I had confidence, that think?
If you have need for photographs or other known as it me.
Thank you

Yes.. a vdrop mod would be nice ...

Thank M3kk
Thus a vdrop MOD would not be useless.
There is a problem, I do not have any idea of what it is necessary to do.
I already saw drop MOD on P5K, but the chipset is not the same one

On is this photograph it enough to connect two different points, drop MOD could be carried out in the same way (by connecting two point) on P965?
I would like to thus know “where” to carry out this Vmod, and especially on which points.
As in my post preceding, if you need photograph of the PCB I would post them to you.
Thanks

Sorry for the double post but nobody can help me? :(

The dfi's control chip's info page is not available to public so its virtually unmoddable. Sorry :)

Thank you for the information, I thus give up any attempt at Vmod…
There is nothing excessive it is just 0.04V, but, I am perfectionist and I wanted this Vmod so that my Vcore is the least variable possible.
Thanks for all :yepp:
