I am building a 30k btu cascade these days for a friend. I asked eleven to make a special edition for this project.
It is bigger than the previous. 50mm diameter. Capilary tube or cpev in the middle and of course a really long channel ;)
When i will solder it i'll show some more photos.

The evap has a long path, keeps the refrigerant above the cpu, and leaves enough room in the channels for expansion. Not to mention elevens designs have worked very well.
Because of results they have had in the past with that very design leads me to say it will still perform well . And Unseen has no problem putting together a quality build. I wouldn't do the 50mm dia. but it's not me. I didn't say it will work the best but I have no problem saying it ought to work great. Just MHO.
Plus I like being optimistic.

why is everyone moving away from the classic design
i am yet to really see anything post direct comparison details between the good old chilly1 or kayl evap and the new style
I'll be comparing an NF11FX/ Chilly1 Condenser/ Chilly1 2007 vs NF11FX/Chilly1 Condenser/Cryostar in about a week, damn near exact same builds so I think it'll be a good comparison to see how the different designs react.
My mouth is watering already!

Where is the making what you got run faster???? not all about the new chip on the block.Many don't have the money to buy all new hardware every 3 months.It's about both......Where have all the older chips gone??? Well for builders it gets a bit monotonous if you were to whip out a rig to bench with on each build as you'd just be reporting the same results. If you do check the Overclocking subforum you do see some examples with people saying whose cooling they are using. It's just easier and more universal to use a loadtester which is why we had all the talk about them in the past and to this day.

@ Walt: I'm with you regarding hanging on to my hardware for a while. In fact that is what got me into phase change in the first place. I didn't want to buy a new processor ever 6 months so I started doing research into overclocking and cooling...which has lead me here. I'm old fashioned will always be a little behind the latest and greatest hardware but thankfully each chip I buy from now on will be super cooled and overclocked.
