Once I can boot 6*450Mhz and windows running, but I want run Spi 1M system freezed, and never able to hit 450Mhz again:confused:

have you checked your pwm heatsink? load should spread more even across all 5 pwm's and so should temps. the very odd temperatures across the 5 pwm's lead me to believe the heatsink is not seated properly!

for the current your pwm's are delivering, i would expect temps somewhere near 90C or may be 100C!

i once run 1.6V vcore trough my e6400 which lead to a pwm current somewhere around 100A and pwm temps were nowhere near yours!

also, even if you are going to use stock heatpipe configuration, you need some airflow through the pwm heatsink. if your cpu cooler does not supply this additional airflow, you have to place a fan at or near the pwm!

i had my quad gt under load the other day too, seems 2 of the pwm's do get strained especially over 4ghz, it tripped out with load, I may try checking for mosfet contact, I have a feeling the circuit just does not handle the current draw of quad well, hopefully I'm wrong......

throw an 80 or 90mm fan over the PWM area before you kill the board.

make no mistake about it,, that PWM is running that hot,,

I bought this mobo as second-hand. Saler told re-paste the pwms, but At weekend I removed again, and grease pwms. And I put 3 zalman heatsinks about big IC in front of 5 pwms.
I sold Q6400ES, wait Q6600 and will check temps again.

What are you guys using to cool these boards. I see one member liked the HR-05? I'm not sure what to get with it.

Hehe be carefull, that's how my Abit IN9 32-MAX died ;)

1.6vcore, 3.9ghz Xeon 3060 PWM without fan is 110C. With a fan is still near 90c. O i was stupid enough to touch it and got a nice little surprise and a "marked" reminder not to do that again.

160C on PWM is sick :(

U have to remove the heatsink takeoff all the crap sticked on bottom of heatsink and apply a good thermal paste to the PWM and u will see a big drop on temp , i did that and my PWM rarely go higher than 50 even at 500FSB or more

the pwm is more than 140 and still increasing when i do 400 x 8 on my 3210 ES priming and eventually shut down due to heat...btw, i replaced my default HS with those ram sink...cant push high on quad due to heat.. have to sell it off..for conroe.. it is still ook

Good, but you try orthos..and for quad core need more power and pwms hotter than only conroe run with orthos.
