Coolaler's got one...
So does Hicookie...
I'm looking to pick one up when they're available, but I'm a little dissapointed at the low FSB (540-550). Hopefully getting the chipset cold will give me the extra FSB I need for my E6400.
im waiting.
Waiting is all we can do. :sofa:
man. i bet all of us get so jealous of coolaler and such
they all get to play with gadgets before us..
so, i wait now. who else is with us waiters!
i'm not all that excited tbh. i'm more excited about the 680i version. i'll keep my commando till then
im waiting :D
/waiting
waiting for the retail price here in the EU...
The US site now has the following posted for our viewing pleasure:

i have a shipment landed and clearing customs....i presume the same or similar is true for many channels.
i'd find the biggest closest DFI seller and pester them if possible
i'm in
How much is this expected to cost? I'm pulling the trigger on a commando tomorrow morning unless this is coming in a week or two and cheap.
Waiting for it to complete the configuration in my signature.
i can assure you that after this mobo si launched and ( as hoped ) it will show a very great perfromance, MANY will sell their own ASUS or ABIT and get it ;)
Do you have to re-install Windows when you switch motherboards? Anyone?
mark
It probably works best with a fresh Windows-install, that's what I would do. But if you can boot into Windows you can uninstall the old chipset drivers and install new ones.

i really think this board is over hyped. i really don't see the retail version doing any better than other 965 boards. from what i've seen the limitation is the chipset, not the boards. but i'm waiting for the reason to prove me wrong. i'm just hoping its a dud so i dont' have to buy another mobo
except it shouldnt have that stupid cold boot issue since it isnt playing musical boot strap
I just saw this on the another Forum :D
"William Yang at DFI San Jose, said the boards should be reaching them in late April, so he thought it'd be no later than the first week in May for resellers to get them.
btw, above I said the MSRP of the Infinity P965-S is to be $135--but William told me this afternoon it's $140.... Also--in case anyone wants a P965-S shipped to them this week, he said he'd be willing to fulfill orders on an individual basis right now, and send boards out immediately, direct from DFI, for $140 a pop plus shipping, He said DFI has 60 boxed P965-S boards as of this afternoon. Anyone interested can reach him at: williamy@dfiweb.com "
you're my hero. i'm glad i stayed up through the night. i'll even say i love you man
edit: to those talking about cold boot and the likes, hmm.. if so, it'd be great. I read from asus that the double booting is to trigger the southbridge or something along those lines. And I've found on my p5b vanilla that it can do 500fsb fine at 1333strap, but most of the time, it won't boot up, unless after a failure, I hold the power button to turn it off, wait 5 seconds, and try again, simulating a false boot. Works everytime. But it'd be great if this could do it without even needing to double boot.
Also, this thing is on 1066 strap, which I don't need to say is absolutely impeccable. Honestly, I'd rather 400fsb on 1066 strap than 1333 strap at 500. You should see the latencies and cycles on ram access with mbench. I think it speaks for itself.
It would make this even greater if there's the ability to change vdimm / vcore in windows, like the ds3. Although I absolutely loathe that board, easytune is great in that regard. And also, I'm hoping for clockgen support. Now, I'll say that I don't do changes in windows normally, but in the experimentation phase, it's a whole hell of a lot easier to do testing from within windows rather than setting in bios, booting, testing. Even if it means I crash out of windows a lot.
