Are they still GMH? At this price, I start to doubt that.
yes, but DRAM;s demand has drop significantly in the past couple months that all of em decide to drop price
i got my OCZ 8500 SLI 2GB for $189.99 same with the 8000HZ i think its only $289.99 now where it used to be $430 ....
very nice rams..
yes MICRON 100% for sure
G.Skill Technician
I just bought that pack of RAM, I hope (please) that they arrive with Micron D9GMH because I need them in order for my system to let me overclock at higher frequencys that Im on right now.
Is there any posibility (even the smallest chance) that I can get something different than D9GMH?
Thanks
how much gmh bin can micron push out lol.
i mean.. jeez, we are seeing gmh on everything now.
they really need to bin out more gkx
well yeah I would like GKX but companies are using it more on high end memories like PC8888 PC8500 etc
gkx only has cas 3 over gmh.
thats the real advantage i can see
other then that.. both ICs act the same cas4 and 5.
I can't see how this ram can be so cheap now, especially since I bought 2gb of this exact same ram in early January for over 300 bucks. This price is making me want to pick up another 2gb, but that whole Corsair/Promos fiasco from a few months back has me a bit weary. Then again, GS Tech is absolutely sure that it's Micron, so I'll probably just go ahead and pull the trigger on it. Decisions, decisions! Of course, for another 10 bucks AR, I could get the Ballistix DDR2-1000. Oh I'm so confused! :\
AAAARRRGGGGHHH! Must resist urge to....PFFFFT. I can't believe MGH is so cheaP!
Thunderstruck, i'm right on the edge of pulling the trigger on this deal. I'd only be able to use 2.75gb of the 4gb until I go to Vista, but with memory prices as volatile as they have been, I kind of want to jump in on this before they go back up. Besides, as much as I want to stick to XP Pro, I'm sure Crysis will make me go to Vista for its DX10 sexiness. :P If you order it, I will too! :)
EDIT: I just went ahead and ordered it. I couldn't take it any longer! :P
From this thread/post:
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...4&postcount=18
but it was purchased almost 2 months ago... it looks like D9GCT
if you check the rest of the thread, g.skill tech says all HZ's use some variant of Micron... so you'll be getting micron 100% sure with the 6400HZ's.
Yeah but I also asked GS Tech what if the memory he bought was manufactured long ago, GS Tech said it could be. Most people are getting D9GMH now :)
Price jumped up a little bit...to $180, plus about $5 shipping.
Still, not a bad price for 2 gigs of Micron.
Yeah I noticed that today. Man, Im starting to think that I should get another pack hehehe.
What do you guys recommend me...?
Get a Raptor X
or
Get another pack of this memory
Hard decision...
i say. spend 80$ to get to drives for raid0 for noticeable performance. ftw
Price hike :(
I cant afford 2 Raptors if that is what you are telling me. Is either one Raptor or another pakc of this G.Skill RAM
Very hard to decide
man this is CRAZY!
If it still has good D9s in it :D thats amazing.
I remember paying $300 for this :(
How do these sticks differ?

Not D9 and cheaper. ;)
oh ok, I wasn't sure. I guess I know what to buy then.
What chips are in those sticks?
