NVIDIA is now silently introducing the nForce 650i Ultra, and it should be available shortly. The motherboard will use the same chips as the nForce 650i SLI (C55+MCP51, while the 680i Series uses C55+MCP55) but will be substantially cheaper while the physical layout will only sport one x16 PCI-E slot, compared to the 650i SLI which had two and was capable of running in 2x8 SLI mode.
The nTune release notes for version 5.05.25.00 confirm the product's existence, and when we asked NVIDIA directly, they told us it will be available for roughly ~£50, so you should expect products to be available in the 70-80€ price range most likely. This is a fairly significant price cut compared to the 650i SLI, since that seems to retail for about 100 to 120€. A quick Froogle tells us that the cheapest 650i SLI available at UK E-tailers sells for £68, including VAT.
We don't know if the C55 chips are of the same bins as those used in the 650i SLI (since that would determine the motherboard's FSB overclocking potential), but we would tend to believe performance and overclocking will be roughly comparable.
