Looks like some pretty good stuff for $45 a stick. Congrats.
i believe those buffalo sticks are winbond bh-5 chips, but i have been waiting to see if anybody gets good results with them before i bought some.
essentialy they are the same as the twinmos 3200 sticks, just a bit cheaper with a different name. can you go any higher fsb wise? i wonder what they top out at.
I had it up to 227 but my Vdd mod is already high @1.95. If this board had a better NB I think the stick will go higher. Go to Newegg's site and read the comments. There are some results there.
Nice price for that memory, GJ.
I just got 2 sticks of the 512... went right up to 200mhz no prob but I havent had a chance to push em yet...
Running two sticks of the 256 now at full agressive, 2.75v on my kd7-e - 96.7% Sandra mem efficiency. Like Crazymofo, haven't pushed them higher yet.
Planning on getting more, too!
SO you haven't taken them past 200, yet? You've had them awhile, haven't you? You've got a lot more patience that I do :DQuote:

sry, my brother's wedding, a 2800 mile round trip to take my kids to their ma's for the summer and overload at work are the excuses I make ;)
Plus, I'm old and bald, so there pfffft! BRB with some screenies...
OK, no burnin and full agressive at 215, KD7-E and 2.95 Vddr in BIOS. 2 X 256M sticks :D
Until I finish building a folding rig to replace this one, I won't be able to work up the Buffalo. Sorry about that (you don't know *HOW* sorry I am lol).
I got a couple of their pc2700 buffalo sticks last week. infinieon chips. They run 400ddr all day long. They were only like 33 shipped.
Any word on the PC3700 buffalo sticks? I assume you're using the PC3200 sticks as you said $45 for 256mb and PC3200 buffalo is now $40.
Newegg says Winbond modules on the buffalo sticks but I wonder what the chips are? Possibly CH-5? Nevermind I just read that they're using BH-5.
i wondering this myself, ordering the new canterwood rig pretty soon and need to decide on the memory. right now its kingston hyper x 3500, or somthing else.. so maybe this stuff might be better.
wow... those $45 256mb sticks are a damned bargain... BH-5 chips own...
Just got my Buffalo 512 stick of PC3200 with Winbond BH-5... Im priming @ 205FSB on an NF7-S 2.0 with 3.06v on the ram... im thinking they need a burn in before they'll run high FSB's because I tried 210 out of the box and it was a no go...
is 6-3-3-2 pretty much the happy medium timings most people are finding for these Buffalo sticks or can they go higher?
Whats the track record for Winbond BH-5 and burn in periods... I know Mickey Mouse has mentioned that his Corsair PC3200 sticks have gotten better with time... So should I assume that these BH-5 chips just need some time?
Mine are prime and 3d stable @ 210 @ 2,2,2,5 @ 2.96 (2.9 in the bios) but I've had them for a few weeks and did the Vdd mod if that helps,
Just started playing around with the two sticks I received...

That's two sticks in an 8RDA+. For some reason CAS2 is a no-no and craps out between 212 and 213 depending on the stick.
I figure I'll burn these guys in with 3.3v for a couple days and then see how they behave. ;)

What cpu is that 250 MHz fsb?
Just wanted to update that I'm now able to run dual-DDR 226MHz at 2.9Vdimm, 1.95Vdd, and CAS2,2,2,11. Seems that burning these in at 3.3v for a few days did them some good. ;)
I got 2 sticks of the PC3700. Went back for more, and it's all gone. Damn!:(
Do a search on ebay its all over the place.
Sweet, I may just have to go for some of these myself. :DQuote:
