Please post your 5V and 12V lines.

Hi all,

Myself and a lot of other people seem to have some major hickups as far as the psu comes when doing heavy oc.
I got an idea that means that all of us overclockers (sorry default riders)post the brand of the psu and the wattage off course, also add what the 5V and 12V line is at load. (running Prime for 5 minutes should suffice) This way we might have an index to look at if problems occur and also for people to know exactly what psu to buy. How does that sound?

I start:

Chieftec 340W with adjustable pots. (built in)
5v=4.97
12V=12.28
This is at 1600MHZ with vcore of 1.85 and vmem of 3.0

Mac

Enermax 431
5v - 4.92
12v - 12.16

this is at 1920mhz with 1.95 on the core and 2.9 on the mem

5v = 5.13v
12v = 11.98v

PIV2266 @ 2899, fsb 170, 1.7core, 2.9mem

Enermax 465 (431w)

5v= varies from 4.7-4.89
12v= varies from 11.8 to 11.98

AthXP2000+ @1800, KX7-333 vmodded (hence the low voltages)
1.98 on core, 3.1 on mem

enermax 431w

5v ...4.6-4.73
12v...12.1..12.2

@192x10 2.1 on core and 3.0 on mem
the lower rating on the 5v is when g4 is pushed a bit as well ..

looks to me that the enermax is maybe 1 to avoid already .... cant see that weve all bought from 1 bad batch

yeah, just from looking at all the first posts the enermax has not been doing so well

Well... I have a Aopen 300w w 5/12v and 3.3v pots..
and I have 4.89/ 12.75 3.65v ;)
I could put the 5v line at 5v or more... but the 12v would be more like 13v :(

Enermax 365 (350W)
5v=4.89-4.92
12v=12.28-12.34

MBM 5.1.9.1 running F@H 1600+ at 1800MHz with 2.0V
3.30V is 3.50V
5.00V is 5.11V
12.00V is 12.22V

Power supply is TTGI550SS

Using an Antec PP412X

5v - 4.92v
12v - 11.8

The values are better when i run the PSU on a standard setup, but it's in a Vapochill, which sux up voltage.

I have to be careful adjusting the pots in the PSU - i set it so that the 5v was about 5.10, and my harddrive went crazy - time to ge a new one anyways i suppose.

Enermax 431w

5v idle 4.87 load 4.76
12v idle 12.22 load 12.17

vcore 1.85
Vmem 2.65


I think im gonna get an Antec son but im not sure weither to get the true power 430w or the pp412...the true powers are supose to have load balancing but ive read they dont do so good so i might save a few $$$ and get an antec 510d or 412 with the pots...so what do you guys think? :confused:

Quick update,

I just swapped PSU to a Antec 412, and guess what!
Dead still on 5V and 11.99V at the exact same voltages as above, just a plain swap of psu.
Now, this is quality!!

Generic 300 Watt PSU from a standard ATX mid-tower

Running:

- Asus P3B-F (Rev 1006)
- Pentium II 350 (Haven't played with this one yet, I have a Celeron 300 A just lying around, eh, I can play with it a little)
- Voodoo 3 3000 (AGP Rev 2.15.07)
- Win XP Professional
- 384 MB PC133 Ram, Generic

3.3V = 3.47V
5V = 5.06V
12V = 12.22V

Excuse my stupidness but I dunno which you want me to post.. the +5 and +12 or the -5 and -12... so here is what I have on my Antec 330...

+5 = 4.92
-5 = 5.09 to 5.11
+12 = 11.73 to 11.80
-12 = 11.78 to 11.86

Enermax EG451 P-VE
+ 5 V = 4.97 V
+12 V =11.98 V

Tbird 1.4 @ 1.64 /1.85V :

Chieftec 340W
5V : 4.89~4.95
12V : 11.98

I'm also running a bunch of drives and a :banana::banana::banana::banana:load of fans and CCFL's of the same PSU, no problems at all :)
Looks like these Chieftec PSU's are rather stable :)

Herolchi 450w

5V = 4.97
12V = 12.20

Vcore at 1.90, mem at 2.8, running at 1810mhz

I got a new TTGI tt520ss like DaGooch recommended and I'm happy now. I Adjusted the pots so this is where I'm at after folding for days.

Did your 12V fly up when you adjusted the 5V line?

yeah the one pot controls both but its cool. I get noe errors even under extreme conditions. Oddly my 12v goes up when I'm at full load. Kinda strange. also it usually sits at 12.46- 12.52, that pic is kinda a bad depiction cause I guess I caught it at a bad time. LOL :D
