Looks like a good 06 score....but weren't people getting nearly the same 03 score back in the X800/6800 days?

7900GTX > 7800GTX512 > 7950GT > 8600GTS > 7900GT > 8600GT > 7900GS

Its not a bad card, but IMO without 256bit bus, I am not sure how well these are going to do againist ATI's mid range. But never the less they look to be solid cards, and they can run Direct X 10 games. If the price is right they will sell well because the average joe will think 8600GT----> better than 7900GT/GTXs.

I think the CPU score is being killed by the RAM being clocked so low. Otherwise it isn't bad at all.
I'm pretty disappointed in these scores. Im not trying to say I want higher scores by using a 5GHz Conroe, but I expected more out of the GPU.
What does a 8800GTX get on a stock X2 FX-62?
Would assume double or more. I had a 640 gts with e4300 that was about double these scores.

Actually I'm not going to defend that...yes I have better things to do with my money than spend $500 on a vid card...not to mention I don't require 1600x1200 8xaa/16xaf for every game i play to be able to enjoy the game...it's like asking why anyone would buy a nissan over a ferrari...and I don't mind a turbocharged 350z.Quote:
