Tuko's new SS - rotary + black metal case + R507

Hi

Some weeks ago I've seen an announce that Tuko want to buy new single-stage . He wanted to buy sth to cool his QX6700, because he wasn't happy with modded vapo LS+ quadcore connection ;) . He wanted a custom 46x46cm (base) case and temperature display :D . Suction line is very short (but can be bit longer, by taking some of it from case's inside ;) ), because it's 24/7 cooler, to use under PC case.

Specs :

Compressor: Sanyo C-1RV137H11AA
evap: steeper by piotres
XV: captube 0.8 mm
condenser: 1 kW, 2 row, alu-cu, cooled by orginal 230 V fan
Refrigerant : R507
Case : Custom metal case, 46 x 46 x 43 cm, painted black
others: Dixell XR40C controler, used as a temperature display, 240 mm fan 230v on back wall of case

Some nice temps during filling with R507:) .

On 215W dummyload it's making around -44-45*C .

Unloaded is "only" around -50*C, because unit is tunned for quadcore loads :D .

i can see the pics.
the unit is nice, and the perfomance seems to be very nice too.
i hope Tuko gives us some pics of benching to see how it works out ;)

piotres, do you have more compressor specs, e.g. replacement and power consumption? how loud is the unit? those two big 230V fans and the rotary must be hell :-O ... but i think you have to put up with that if you want enough cooling power für you Quad...

Very nice! I was going to say it looks too big for a single-stage 24/7 unit, until I saw the picture of the UFO case :D.

Big case, better airflow, more cooling for that compressor, better temps.

Dimas, that's NOT mine first system in metal case ;) .

Captube is around 255 cm.

Compressor is around 9000 BTU, sound ...like rotary, but "gentle" one (read = not very loudly) :banana: . Mine friend said that 2 rotaries in cascade (8000-9000 BTU) are more silent than one Danfoss SC21CL :slobber: .

Sorry, I think that Lycos is sometimes overloaded :( .
