I'd go with TAT in this case.

lol reading out the bios is completely a joke. My bios reading was 24 degree idle while TAT and core temp read it as 34 degree.
Strange for them to be different with an E6300. With an E4300 I'd expect it
I'd go with TAT,
a) because for air cooling it looks more realistic
b) it's the highest so it's safer to use the higher temp
Your E6300 is real Allendale and Core Temp is not updated for he. For now use TAT
so allendale reads low on coretemp? basically this means that i have to use TAT? DARN i thought my temps were good on idle. too bad
is it normal for 2 cores on an x2 to read 10 degrees in temp differently in coretemp? Cause thats whats happening to me at the moment and i dont know why it so different

In a cold room having idle temps of 20C is normal.
TAT does not seem to be working properly on some of the newer boards.
