http://img237.imageshack.us/img237/1766/21rt9.jpg
I have tweaked a little with the sketch, and I did a hopefully better solution to the design. You can see what's done
http://img169.imageshack.us/img169/8436/27is8.jpg
Frame sawed to exactly 1cm
http://img226.imageshack.us/img226/1105/28ky2.jpg
Why? To get the front thicker
http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/9781/29fm1.jpg
Why?? So that the Aluminium metalsheet wont brush against the DVD-driver (Or what the hell you call it in english ;D)
http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/5881/30uj3.jpg
This is how the loop is supposed to be.
http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/7880/slangjt2.jpg
IOW: Pump - radiator - radiator - cpu block - [gpu block] - tank - pump - osv osv osv :)
Have glued on the frame.. superepoxy is strong :D
http://img92.imageshack.us/img92/6099/31cb4.jpg

Went down to the workshop en fixed some stuff :)
It was to much work with the dremel, so I used the jiggsaw instead... was a bit easier
http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/2561/38se4.jpg
I'm pleased with the result
http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/5922/39ud9.jpg
http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/6858/40la7.jpg
I had some trouble mounting the fan. The holes had UNC threads, så neither M3 or M4 would fit. So i made the threads M4.

Started with drawing out the radiatortemplate
http://img238.imageshack.us/img238/5339/64ng2.jpg
Cut out and a list is testmounted, note that it isn't fixed, it is just for testing. Can't glue it until I have painted the case
http://img244.imageshack.us/img244/1889/66ow5.jpg
Radiator testmounted, all screws will be insexskcrews.

http://img244.imageshack.us/img244/272/63bx5.jpg

http://img244.imageshack.us/img244/8220/74kp9.jpg
http://img244.imageshack.us/img244/9444/75ai2.jpg
Started with the "case" for the pump, that will be polished.
http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/4563/76rg0.jpg
Ok, testmounted the front frame and it was a nice fit.
http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/3494/77ny0.jpg
Yesterday I ordered some white LED's for the front (Will have lighted plexi behind the aluminiumsheet)
Nice and smooth.
http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/3817/78yj6.jpg
http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/1787/79wi9.jpg
The radhole from the inside of the case
http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/7415/80nm9.jpg
Continued with the pumpcasing
http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/4232/81sh4.jpg
Glued the edges. Later I will putty and paint the case.. I will also make the hole by the suctionfitting more round and nicer
http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/5923/84yl6.jpg
Well, it seems like people have trouble with bending plexi. So I had to try before I will do it on the real thing. I cant really understand what the problem is. It was actually pretty easy to bend it...?
And as you can see I didn't burn the plexi and i didn't get any "bubbles"
http://img438.imageshack.us/img438/3962/82yr7.jpg
I used a crappy black n' decker heating gun.. well, black & decker is a budget trademark
http://img351.imageshack.us/img351/1372/83uh5.jpg
I also painted the BIX 2, cause the paintjob was absolutely awful.
But now I got a nice paintjob with some mirrorshine. I will take better pics later.
http://img351.imageshack.us/img351/8936/86id4.jpg
My finger eh ,:), As I said I will take a better pic so you can see the mirrorshine better.
http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/772/85lq5.jpg
So, got my white leds and resistors from lysdiod.com. These babies are supposed to lighten up the plexisides in the front.
I ordered 10 Leds, and I will use 6 in the front, so the last4 will go to something else. Dont know what, maybe lightning up waterblocks or so :)
http://img366.imageshack.us/img366/720/87xh8.jpg
http://img478.imageshack.us/img478/3531/89ee2.jpg
http://img368.imageshack.us/img368/8776/88ar0.jpg
Bought some spaces for the front
http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/8259/92sx7.jpg
Which is this part of the front:
http://img133.imageshack.us/img133/3488/90ds6.jpg
And the modder-pet ;)
http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/7692/91sm4.jpg
Got up from the bed by 9 o'clock, ate breakfast and sent some packages aso.
But the main thing is ofcourse the projekt ;)
Went to Söderströms järn & metall (Southstreams iron & metal ;)). Got my hands on a piece of aluminum.. 4kg. It costed me 100kr, which is about 14$
And as you maybe understand, it is supposed to be for the front.
http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/940/109gh9.jpg
http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/6550/96oq1.jpg
http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/5918/97rc5.jpg
Exactly 3mm
http://img86.imageshack.us/img86/9956/98lb8.jpg
http://img86.imageshack.us/img86/3206/99ox0.jpg
The paint has been dryin' for 1 week.
Hardly no orange-surface nor FLA
http://img86.imageshack.us/img86/3291/93hm7.jpg
And the wax ;)
http://img86.imageshack.us/img86/2817/94mg9.jpg
Nice and shiny
http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/6461/95sd2.jpg
Tried polishing the aluminum. There was some kind of oxidation that was pretty hard to get through
http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/1331/100zi7.jpg
After 1000grit and autosol, not to good in my opinion.. need some tools to get the real-deal ;)
http://img206.imageshack.us/img206/4751/101rq8.jpg
http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/6269/102ou5.jpg
Started grinding on the small radiator. And it surpriced me a bit when I found out that the original color was blue-metallic
http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/6303/103ml7.jpg
Ready for paint
http://img92.imageshack.us/img92/4940/104fk7.jpg
http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/2001/105xl2.jpg

http://img134.imageshack.us/img134/697/106ff3.jpg
And here they are, resting and hardening
http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/6849/107ex3.jpg
Some dremel accessories is never bad :)
http://img134.imageshack.us/img134/1013/108xj0.jpg
Ah, finally got something done today :)
The small rad have dried and the result is as awesome as on the other radiator.
http://img50.imageshack.us/img50/9014/110ru8.jpg
http://img50.imageshack.us/img50/451/111uu0.jpg
Nice huh? (Yeah, there is a little miss by the screwhole, but it wont be seen anyway so.. :)
http://img50.imageshack.us/img50/5775/112up4.jpg
As I will use hinges for the front door, I want it to look nice when you open it. So I'm going to but some plexi that will be painted black on the backside. So hopefully it will be nice and shiny.
Masktaped plexi.
http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/7931/113mj2.jpg
Draw out the lines
http://img133.imageshack.us/img133/5131/114mc6.jpg
Jiggsawcut.
http://img45.imageshack.us/img45/7306/115nk6.jpg
After some fine-tuning it was a nice fit.
http://img133.imageshack.us/img133/6822/116tu1.jpg
Time to make a hole so I can acces baytank, dvd-driver etc.
Marked out.
http://img133.imageshack.us/img133/1230/117ih1.jpg
http://img133.imageshack.us/img133/9394/118xk5.jpg
http://img105.imageshack.us/img105/3759/120hx5.jpg
Bent some plexi to cover up some ugly areas of the case.
I will spray it black on the backside.
http://img79.imageshack.us/img79/66/121fk9.jpg
Screwed into place with some M4.
http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/1025/122cq3.jpg
Ah, got a nice cut in my finger from something. Didn't notice until I looked at the finger
http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/7217/123zy5.jpg
Okay, so, got some time today and worked on the case.
Started painting the cover-up plexi.
http://img68.imageshack.us/img68/5934/124jb5.jpg
And the finnish is.. yea
It's like having a 5mm thick clearcoat layer :D
http://img111.imageshack.us/img111/1636/125vl2.jpg
http://img53.imageshack.us/img53/6107/126pn2.jpg
This area is ugly, and will be covered up with a piece of plexi.
http://img117.imageshack.us/img117/5778/127dy3.jpg
The camera focused on the reflections ;)
http://img238.imageshack.us/img238/9650/128da7.jpg
Made a hole with the jiggsaw in the front.
http://img76.imageshack.us/img76/6080/129tp6.jpg
Made a hole in the frontbezel.
http://img108.imageshack.us/img108/9485/130ya1.jpg
Will use this tunnelthing.
http://img110.imageshack.us/img110/4964/131tp9.jpg
Made screwholes for the tunnel
http://img110.imageshack.us/img110/3083/132wy3.jpg
Both parts painted on the back. The finnish will be awesome :D
http://img76.imageshack.us/img76/9260/133tf6.jpg
The tunnel painted.
http://img110.imageshack.us/img110/6901/134rm4.jpg
Masktaped the 4mm plexi. The right piece will be used for the sidepanelwindow, and the other will be used for the front.
Used all the tape that was left :p
http://img110.imageshack.us/img110/8170/135jo8.jpg
Marked
http://img76.imageshack.us/img76/7263/136lu0.jpg
It was a nice fit in the sidepanel, the plexi slid in under thos edges and will make the whole sidepanel more stable.
http://img76.imageshack.us/img76/1182/137no4.jpg
Took some photos of the paint.
http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/2006/138is7.jpg
What's the lamp doin' there? ;)
http://img294.imageshack.us/img294/5489/139uc4.jpg
http://img294.imageshack.us/img294/9873/140zg6.jpg
Oh well, hello there :)
http://img294.imageshack.us/img294/2080/141ev1.jpg
So, bought some new components.
3st Titan fans, 120mm.
1st Cooltek fan, 120mm.
1st Sunbeam rheobus, (0 - 12v)
2st Nexus disktwin.

Titan-fan specifications
http://img241.imageshack.us/img241/9408/144ir7.jpg
Nexus hardrivecooler.
http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/2036/145tg7.jpg
So, this is how the rad looks with the fans
http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/6612/146zo8.jpg
This is how it will look like inside.
http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/2268/147bu7.jpg
Started sanding the sidepanel.
http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/3261/148mp8.jpg
Inside
http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/9107/149bl0.jpg
http://img264.imageshack.us/img264/1882/150tl4.jpg
Finished sanding the sidepanel and done some polishing work on a fan-frame
1000 grit
http://img107.imageshack.us/img107/8894/151jt1.jpg
http://img183.imageshack.us/img183/4207/152ne4.jpg
http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/3144/153tv4.jpg
http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/7068/154wm5.jpg
http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/2426/155np0.jpg
http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/231/156xd0.jpg
So, more sanding and polishing work
I have tested polish a little on the chassis, but I don't know if I like it, what do you think? Should I have a little more "rough" polish or should I paint it black?
Here are some pics
http://img334.imageshack.us/img334/9310/157nf8.jpg
http://img334.imageshack.us/img334/8291/158vp0.jpg
http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/245/159we0.jpg
http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/1262/160la6.jpg
http://img108.imageshack.us/img108/6761/161bf2.jpg
As you cas see; the surface is pretty rough, but maybe it's cool, i don't know, you decide :)
And here is a little work-movie of me sanding the chassis
http://img502.imageshack.us/img502/1923/watergq5.jpg
I have painted the frontframe black.
http://img511.imageshack.us/img511/9940/162xk0.jpg
I have also painted the inside and the back of the case black.
http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/7461/163df3.jpg
http://img48.imageshack.us/img48/5145/164pp3.jpg
When the frame had dryed, I went on making holes for the hinge. And then I mounted the hinges.
http://img247.imageshack.us/img247/9756/165iz3.jpg
The base-frontaluplate was testfitted.
http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/5088/178sl7.jpg
testmounted on the chassi
http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/7793/167ar0.jpg
After that I drilled holes in the frontplate and the baseplate and mounted them together with the distances and some insexscrews. Although this is not how it will look like, cause you all know that I will have plexiglass behind the frontplatet that will be lid up by the LED's
http://img294.imageshack.us/img294/6262/168dt0.jpg
http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/2218/169yq2.jpg
This is how the workbench looks after 3 hours. Not a pretty sight, but all the tools are necessary.
http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/361/170ff6.jpg
I found out that it was really hard to use a black vinylfilm to tint the plexi. So my dad got me some tinted real glass. Yes, it is some heavy ****, but it is nice :)
http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/8813/171qd5.jpg
The effect is, that if I dont have the case lighted at the inside, you wont be able to see through the glass. But if it is lighted, you will se through.
http://img61.imageshack.us/img61/7734/172hu1.jpg
These are the insexscrews and nuts that I am using. Shiny stuff. M4.
http://img291.imageshack.us/img291/8861/173ws2.jpg
http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/5453/174ru9.jpg
http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/3646/175bt3.jpg
http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/9558/176ji7.jpg
Yep, i've got a few.
http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/2211/177xo6.jpg
For you who liked the movie that I had earlier, here is another one:
http://img469.imageshack.us/img469/2159/wtardafafv4.jpg
I got the backplate mounted to the hinges
http://img455.imageshack.us/img455/8024/179mq2.jpg
And this is how the hinge is mounted to the frame and the backplate. The space in the hinge is actually pretty big, so i got nuts to fit in.
http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/5092/180az6.jpg
Started working on the plexiglass that is supposed to be illuminated.
I fastened the plexi with the aluplate with some screws to make it easier to sand and get the edge nice.
http://img316.imageshack.us/img316/2563/181od8.jpg
Heh, ye, some work to do
http://img117.imageshack.us/img117/294/182rn3.jpg
The backside, wont be seen
http://img159.imageshack.us/img159/2416/183rj3.jpg
The job is dirty and time comsuming. Its not fun to sand plexiedges,, i tell you.
One edge almost done
http://img159.imageshack.us/img159/1030/184is1.jpg
Ah, and there we have it. After like 2 hours, 2 metres of 120pt sandingpaper and some work with the :dremel:, I got the edges nice.
http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/6687/185sb3.jpg
Tested to lighten up the plexi, it got a bit scratchy though, but it wont be seen anyways so..
http://img123.imageshack.us/img123/7182/186ge7.jpg
Pretty nice, a total of 8 leds will lighten upp the edges.
http://img299.imageshack.us/img299/7947/187pj1.jpg
Then I mounted the whole front together.

Me likes. I'm actually quite proud of it. I have made it all by myself and it is my own design. That makes it a bit special i think :)
