This was my old test...Micron D9HNL chips (78nm 1Gb DDR2)


CPU:E6400 ES B1
Cooler:Zalman 9500
MB:Gigabyte 965P-DS3 Ver.1.0 C2 no mod BIOS:F7
VGA:ASUS 7900GTX
Power supply:Zippy G1 500W
HD:Seagate 7200.10 320G SATA2 & Seagate 7200.7 200G SATA

New D9HNL chip

Here were the brief tests! (still under F7 bios)

DDR2 800 (2.0V 15-5-5-5, no boot under12-4-4-4)

DDR2 900 (2.2V 15-5-5-5 Under FSB400, no option for DDR2 900 w/h DS3）

However, after I update DS3's BIOS to F10, D9HNL flies...

DDR2 900 15-5-5-5 only needs 1.8v :eek:

I will take more tests these days...Really impressive!

at 900 is it superpi 32 and orthos blend stable?

What about more voltage??? How memory behaves in mode Ultra-Low Latency? (3-2-2-4 or 3-3-3-4)

After several tests...sorry to say it can't not boot DDR2 1000 or more (under DS3 Ver1.0):mad:

Maybe it's mb's problem, these days I'll get a new mb...

so, I'll keep trying...:stick:

I have those memory sticks on a MSI K9N SLI-2F.
I'm just wondering, do you think I will reach DDR900@5-5-5-15?
Or are you a professional overclocker who just got lucky?

Simply, are your Crucial PC5300 D9HNL unique?

Depends on the ICs, their quality, your system, etc. A lot of factors.
Past performance does not always guarantee future results, but in case of D9HNL (or Micron for that matter) I'd say the odds are in your favor.

If it's a 1GB module chances of getting D9HNL are good, as it's a 1Gbit IC used to produce 1GB modules with 8 ICs instead of 16.

I've got the same chips, single sided, sadly my x2 3800 oc's like crap, no high ramspeeds for me, but mine goes stable at 832Mhz 5 5 5 15 2T, at 4 4 4 12 2T I can't even boot... regardless of voltage (tried up to 2,4V)

Let's say that I'll put my identical Crucial PC5300 D9HNL i that system. Do you think the memory is capable of running DDR900@5-5-5-15? Or is it hard to reach that far?

I'm quite sure it is
