here you go 90 l/hr. if you buy it you have to give us free ln2 ok,

whoa! no way!!!!!! that's too big and i am actually looking for ones that are really compact and cheap but i am probably not going over US$120 for it and if LN2 generators are really expensive i might not buy it. besides maybe i won't even buy it because my parent will ask wtf it is and i say liquid nitrogen generator and they throw it away :( i am ok with consuming power but not too much :)
You are not going to get a LN2 Generator for that price, ever.Quote:

so how much do they cost and and used liquid nitrogen generators i can buy? i found elan 2 liquid nitrogen generator but they don't mention the price :( so if you have ideas please post them here.
well LN2 Generators aren't exactly something that you can find cheap but if you have a local university, you can check to see if they are going to replace their LN2 generator.
do you mean an LN2 generator as in converting Nirtogen to liquid, or a dewar and pressure feed system?
if you mean the former, go find a BOC plant and look at their gear, or any gas refinery...they weigh tons/tonnes and cost several thousand pounds, maybe like 15-20K
i am talking about personal use and not industrial ones that are fairly big and that produces tons of liters per hour. i am more looking into compact small in size and not too expensive but if it is expensive then fine let it be expensive. probably one i can use in my room which isnt that big but around 100-150 sq feet.
Nitrogen is cheap, please use proper handling regulations of gases in your area. Trying to claim gas can be dangerous.
Well....LN2 benching uses a fair volume..to use 25L/day is easy enough... Once you`re creating LN2, to expand the volume means scaling up the tanks and maybe a more powerful pressure system but the tanks need to be pretty strong to start with and if efficiency is poor you`ll need a large nitrogen tank to start with..I`ll go make sure my facts are straight, but I dont know if a small LN2 system exists coz its not really financially worth it
EDIT: More detail. A compressor takes air from 15 to 3,000 pounds per square inch (psi). When you compress air, it heats up. run that hot air through some coils of tubing. By blowing room temperature air over the coils, we cool the compressed air.
let that compressed air expand. It gets cold. let that cold air blow over the coils of tubing to cool some more compressed air even colder. Eventually, the compressed air is so cold that when it can expand it doesn’t....liquid.
Ah well..maybe not start with nitrogen, but to start with air means that conversion efficiency is poor and you`ll need to deal with the waste...including CO2, so please dont gas yourself :)
It depends where you live to how much it costs to buy LN2. Normally gas suppliers will charge a nice rate as long as you buy large quantities.
As far as buying one, they would cost thousands, and be a fortune to run. In order to make one yourself, you would need to be a refrigeration / cryogenic expert and have access to specialised parts.
somene here is going to have to be blunt and i guess its going to be me. theres is no way your going to get one for anywhere near the price you want to pay.
Think of this: If an LN2 generator was as cheap as $120, why would the people in here bother with spending thousands of dollars buying dewars and LN2 from distributors.
Before you start asking about machines that can produce LN2, maybe you should ask yourself whether you are capable of even handling it? Your question here might indicate that you are not...
If you're looking for something the size of a shoe box, you are out of luck :p:
it is possible but expect production to be measured in mL/Day :p:Quote:

 All eyes on you now Hipro! Hope ya can find a link
.....Got it......:D

EDIT: I've sent them an e-mail so as to see how much do they cost.......To be honnest if they're not TOO expensive, I'll get one for me coz now we have to travell over 2 hours time so as to get LN2...... :)
.
Only problem is that you would have to leave it running for several days to get a decent amount (for benching), and keep it stored in your dewar.
You'll start in on Monday so as to bench on Saturday/Sunday....:)
Hehe :D. Wonder how much it would cost in electricity. Mind you, it might work out cheaper than paying for your dewar to be filled, and the time/cost of getting to the place :).
this thread went from being a joke to being pretty damn cool.
The device uses 900W according to the datasheet so the powerusage isn't that bad :)Quote:

(please be $9.99) (jk, $999 wouldn't be bad huh)
