ASUS 680i P5N32-E or Striker Extreme: any SATA/RAID bug problems?

As many of you know, the reference 680i board (eVGA, BFG, XFX, etc.) suffers from a very serious problem in which SATA drives can experience data corruption. The problem has been acknowledged by nVidia and by eVGA, is currently being worked on furiously by them (and probably others), and is causing quite a stir on the eVGA forum, where this bug has been confirmed by >300 posts.

An important question is whether the ASUS 680i boards (P5N32-E SLI and Striker Extreme) suffer from this same bug. The bug results in an event log full of disk errors, BSODs, WinXP corruption, seems to affect SATA drives, seems to be worse with SATA drives in RAID configurations, and seems to be made worse by using memory speeds faster than ~800 MHz and possibly by CPU overclocking.

I've searched quite a few forums for an evidence of the ASUS board suffering from this problem and haven't found any real evidence that it does. If you have an ASUS 680i-based board, please post here telling us if you have experienced the SATA/RAID bug or not.

Yep, I think so. In fact I've not read ANY stories that connect the ASUS 680i boards to the SATA problems suffered by the reference boards.

i have p5n32-e sli and im still testing this mobo, but so far i dont get any corruption on 2x36gb raptor raid 0. dunno where do you hear the problem from.

many problems with raid and striker extreme

Yes i have a lot of problems with raid.
Testet raid 5 and raid 1+0 so far and im getting frustrated.
Using 4 samsung HD501LJ and sometimes readerrors etc. on a fresh system.
The writing performance with raid 5 is frustrating - around 24MB/s - and reading also around 60-70 MB/s! With raid 0+1 writing is around 60 MB/s and reading around 76 MB/s.
I tested a lot with sandra 2008, hdtach and hdtune etc. The graphs are all looking terrible. One second 100Mb/s the next one 44MB/s - I´m getting frustrated :(

Testet all sripesizes - and also sata-raid driver from siemens v6.99 ->the newest one, working better like v6.91!
Nothing helps nvidia onboard raid controller are lausy and not worth to buy.
