Schyte Infinity on 7900GT !!!!!!!
-
the temp different with vf900cu about 10-15c... :D
-
That's one big gpu cooler you got there :D I just wonder how long are those zipties going to last.
-
still searching mod for putting screw there....
-
MAASSSIIIIVVVVVVVV!!!
now that's exactly what i would do in my dreams (provided that there's a more sturdy way to mount than zip ties)
q:
how much overlap do you have at the bottom of your mobo?

if you means gaps between infinity and PCI/PCI-e Slot than it has no gaps....
the infinity uses the slot (PCI) as its 'bed' due to the PCI-e Slot were lower and it makes the infinity perfectly sleep on the pci slot...
-
ok, not what i meant, but good to know that that's a perfect fit;
no what i meant is how much does the infinity stick out from under your mobo? in my case i have about 1cm (0.3inch) between the bottom of my case and the bottom of my mobo. if the infinity sticks out more than 1cm i'd be screwed ...
-
lol , how did you manage to attach it to the card ?

The universal method... Zipties! :woot:
Friggin' awesome job there mate, try sending NightCrawler(tm) a PM, he could probably help you out with the mounting (he did a CNPS9500 once)..
Best REgards :toast:

WOW! thats awsome :slobber:
zip-ties rule, cant wait to see some load temps. :toast:
-
you can see the load temps on Riva tuner.... it was while artifact scanning for 20min on 1.55v - 705mhz core... 43c
-
have you tried placing that fan on a side maybe rather than top
that's extreme but let's see some extreme air OCs now heheheh :D
-
actually i put 2 fan... one on top and one on side....
well, actually i already do some benches but so far it doesnt increase my gpu core.... it still stuck at 765mhz (120mhz pcie) for bench... :(
need to mod to 1.7v :)... i think the cooler could handle it :D

-
Wow dude, that is just sick! :slobber:
-
That poor card. I'm sure it's super cool, but the weight must be out of this world. If someone else is crazy enough to do this, I'd say go with a Thermalright Ultra-120 or SI-128. Same performance with way less weight. Still crazy as hell though. :toast:
-
the card takes no weight from the cooler, maybe this pics can explain...

The card does look like it is bent hehe. That's a freaking huge cooler on the card. There goes all your PCI slots lol. I like your vmod, not the cleanest but it's very organized.
